AC MILAN have apparently joined the race to sign the Fiorentina man.
The Rossoneri are interested in reinforcing the midfield, and according to Sky Sport 24, they are monitoring the situation of Riccardo Montolivo at Fiorentina. Inter Milan also want him.
The player, who will celebrate his 26th birthday next month, has been offered a contract renewal with La Viola, but he hasn’t given an answer yet as he has a desire to move to a bigger club.
Montolivo’s current deal expires in June 2012, but Fiorentina would like to keep their captain for more years. However, the player could decide to move. A move in January is unlikely though.
Milan have failed to sign Andrea Lazzari from Cagliari. President Massimo Cellino rejected the Rossoneri’s bid (the second half of Davide Astori), as he’s keen to keep his stars in January.
Reports continue to link Milan with Chievo’s Kevin Constant. It seems that he’s close to Milan and might arrive in the winter on co-ownership basis.
