MATHIEU FLAMINI believes Milan can win the Champions League and the Serie A this year.
This year is different for AC Milan French midfielder Flamini, as he finally proves his worth after two years in which he couldn’t find form and struggled to break into the starting XI of the Rossoneri.
In an interview with il Corriere dello Sport, which was published this morning (Friday) Flamini claimed that he feels safe at Milan, as Massimiliano Allegri is the right coach for Milan and for him.

Flamini, there is an chance of winning a great league, a thing that you didn’t do before…
“It’s true, I never won a major trophy, I was also rather unfortunate two times because I came very close with my previous teams, Marseille and Arsenal.”
Is this a good year?
“It appears so, everything is going well. Milan have the right mentality to win both the Champions League and Serie A. I am also a lot more matured on the personal level.”
Which one do you prefer?
“I want to win it all, like Ibra says. If I had to choose, I would prefer the Champions League because it has a special charm. But I realize that the league has a great importance for the whole club.”
Three years at Milan, three different coaches: Carlo Ancelotti, Leonardo and Max Allegri.
“I never changed so many coaches in three seasons. With Allegri we feel better, also me.”
What happened with Ancelotti and Leonardo?
“My first season at Milan was settling in, although I played a lot with Ancelotti. With Leonardo there was some misunderstanding, we had a great relationship. This, I’m sure, is the right year because Allegri is the right coach.”
What are the merits of the new coach?
“After the double confrontation with Real Madrid, the team has found the balance between defense and attack, now we are scoring more and less suffer. Allegri has taught us to have a great team spirit and with this spirit we make the difference.”
