Report: Milan to sign “the new Lucio” in January

11

SEBASTIAN COATES will join the Rossoneri.

According to reports, AC Milan have secured the services of 19-year-old highly-rated central defender, Coates, who will start wearing Black & Red in January, when the transfer window reopens.

Coates is very tall (196 cm) and has good physical strength and great qualities; he’s good at high balls, good placement and high individual technique. He’s mobile too, and for that, he’s been likened to Brazil Captain Lucio.

Milan have started looking for replacement to the ageing Alessandro Nesta (34) and the young Uruguayan, who plays for Nacional, could be the man of Milan alongside Thiago Silva in the future.

The player will turn 20 by January and therefore he won’t be able to play for Milan’s Primavera, meaning he will be either loaned out or used in the first team.

Coates has played 12 official matches and scored 2 goals with the Primera División Uruguaya side. He also has 10 caps in the national team.

Umm, i think right now we must give a good & long applause for Milan management. Not just bring a world class player like Ibra & Binho, but they bought a lot of young and talented player for the future too!

So, for Milan fans who always throw a curse to Galliani / Berlusconi names, you can give it a rest right now. Don’t you agree folks? 🙂

is it true, milan has secured him? i remember that milan signed collocini years ago but it ended up with almost nothing. with 4 CB (silva-papa-nesta-yepes), milan needs to train these guys to play with different roles (LB, RB or DM) sometimes. i miss rijkaard/dessaily figure in milan’s midfield.

Milan really workin hard for the future. With list of young player who played in primavera teams, such as Merkel,Santonico,Verdi etc, Milan are looking ahead for future from now. Maybe, in next years/season, Milan doesn’t have to buy player. They will use their youngster. Forza Milan…!!!

for those of you who think he will disrupt albertazzi getting into the fisrt team, it won’t because he is very similar to maldini(YAAAAYYYYYY)he can play in the middle or on the left side of defence.
