Milan to fight Inter for Villarreal’s 24-year-old

DIEGO GODIN is a hot property in the city of Milano.

The 24-year-old has been playing on regular basis for Villarreal FC since his arrival from Uruguayan side Club Nacional de Football, as he recorded 91 appearances with the Spanish side.

Godin’s contract expires in 2011, but AC Milan and Inter Milan will try hijacking the player this summer as they are looking for some fresh pairs of legs to shake things up in defense and they have targeted the center-back.

Agent: Mongongu could join Milan next year
Dida: Goodbye Milan, thank you!

Godin’s price tag is said to be around €10 million, a fee Milan can handle. However, the tricky part for Milan is that someone must leave in order Godin will arrive and, as things stand now, no one looks set to big farewell.

The Uruguayan has already admitted Italian football befits him: “Italian football suits my characteristics.”

he’s good player, hope we sign him this summer. I read Villarreal wants to renew but maybe Milan can agree with him for a free transfer for next summer and get him for nothing…
