AC Milan-Juventus F.C: Only For Pride

12

AC MILAN are hosting JUVENTUS F.C. on Saturday night when the clock strikes 8:45 CET at Stadio San Siro, as this match has no true meaning.

The Rossoneri didn’t look good  against Genoa but thanks to Sampdoria and Palermo, they were granted the third spot, which takes them right to the Champions League, and have reached their objectives.

The Bianconeri had a very disappointed season – they have failed to reach the CL, but were only good enough for a place in the Europa League. Juve have nothing to lose or win from this clash, but pride.

13/5/10: The Fronts

Sunday, January 10, 2010 was when Milan beat Juventus 0-3 at Stadio Olimpico di Torino. Alessandro Nesta opened the scoring (29′) and Ronaldinho converted twice (72′ & 88′).

Last weekend, Milan faced Genoa at Stadio Luigi Ferraris and it didn’t go so well. il Diavolo lost 1-0 but were lucky following the 1-1 draw between Sampdoria and Palermo, who fought for the fourth place.

LAST FIVE: AC MILAN

May 9 v Genoa (A) – LOST 1-0

May 2 v Fiorentina (H) – WON 1-0 (Serie A)

April  24 v Palermo (A) – LOST 3-1 (Serie A)

April  18 v Sampdoria (H) – LOST 2-1 (Serie A)

April 11 v Catania (H) – DREW 2-2 (Serie A)

Leonardo has done what he was asked to. Milan will play in the Champions League next season and that is for sure. This match against Juventus is absolutely meaningless for the Rossoneri, as for where they’ll finish.

Alexandre Pato returned from his long injury last Sunday noon, but he was not performing his best, as was taken out already after an hour due to fitness issues. Alessandro Nesta is expected to play though.

Milan will finish third in the standing, but the question is how much point they would have. At the moment, they have 67 points. Milan hold a home record of 8 wins, 5 draws and 6 losses.

NEWS: Beckham is out injured, while Kaladze, Oddo, Ambrosini, Bonera and Silva are doubtful. Flamini is suspended.

What a poor season it has been for Juventus. Ciro Ferrara started the season badly, but even after former Milan Coach Alberto Zaccheroni couldn’t help the Old Lady, that looks very bad during the entire term.

LAST FIVE: JUVENTUS F.C.

May 9 v Parma (H) – LOST 2-3 (Serie A)

May 2 v Catania (A) – DREW 1-1 (Serie A)

April 25 v Bari (H) – WON 3-0 (Serie A)

April 15 v Inter (A) – LOST 2-0 (Serie A)

April 11 v Cagliari (H) – WON 1-0 (Serie A)

Juve lost last weekend to Parma. The Prince, Alessandro Del Piero opened the scoring but Davide Lanzafame double and Jonathan Biabiany turned it away, as Vincenzo Iaquinta only reduced in extra time.

Juventus exit from the Champions League already in the group stage harmed the Old Lady, and they will not play in the CL next season. They will only play in the Europa League, as collected only 55 points.

Juve’s away record is 7 wins, 3 draws and 8 losses. Zaccheroni’s men are not brilliant away as seen.

NEWS: Chimenti, Grygera, Trezeguet, Giovinco and Sissoko are out. No one is suspended for the Old Lady for Milan trip.

PREDICTION
This will be a classic with no gist. Sure, it will be nice to watch like every Milan-Juventus, but this time the result doesn’t really matter. AC Milan 1-1 Juventus F.C.

This match really means nothing. Becks is no longer our player so everyone is available. Milan can win this match though they will not try too hard, and so as Juventus. Nice match, classic with no gist.
