AMANTINO MANCINI thinks the next game with Palermo will be even harder than the one against Sampdoria, in which, Milan lost, as he concedes defeat in Scudetto race.
Mancini has admitted starting from the first minute was not an easy-job for him after a long time. He assisted Marco Borriello’s header, but at the end, Milan lost, with goals from Samp’s Antonio Cassano & Giampaolo Pazzini.
The loaned Inter player is way off his pick, but he prepares seriously ahead of the next away game in Sicily against Palermo, were Milan must win in order to secure the third spot in Serie A.
After the match, Mancini spoke to Milan Channel: “Unfortunately we lost, the game was already difficult, then it complicated itself further in the moment we remained with one player less.
“The Scudetto issue now becomes very difficult, but the important thing is that the team wins again. Personally I found it difficult to start from the first minute after a lot of time, it was not easy to find the physical form.
“Now I’m fine and I must work well this week to prepare at best Saturday evening’s clash at Palermo.
“The Sicilian’s are in the run for a Champions League spot, and I believe that the game will still be more difficult than today’s, but we must go there to win.”
