Inter Milan-AC Milan: Time To Revenge

INTER MILAN are hosting AC MILAN on Sunday night at Stadio San Siro, for a match that could decide the future of the Serie A at Italy. The Derby della Madonnina is nearly here!

The atmosphere is already well-tensed ahead of the Milan Derby on 24 of January 2010, as this clash, could proved to be the match to decide the 2010 Serie A champions.

Inter seem to be a bit stuttering, but that is really says nothing about the match, as they are a team who never give in and fight until the end. Meanwhile, Milan are in top form. The Rossoneri seem to enjoy their game.

Silva: We Have To Give Everything Against Inter

The last time the two sides faced each other it was very ugly, when Milan lost 0-4 at San Siro, at home. Thiago Motta, Diego Milito, Maicon and Stankovic scored to humiliate Milan in front of the home crowd. This is really a match to forget, but let’s see where Milan were wrong in the last time.

Things are very similar to the start of the season now at the Blue side of Milano – Inter are coming after another draw with new promoted A.S. Bari, as looking not quite sharp and so brilliant – however, with strong character.

The last two games of the Nerazzuri did not go so smoothly. Inter were down in both occasions, and late goals saved Jose Mourinho’s butt, and his place at the top of the Italian pyramid.

On January 9, 2010, the four-time in a row Serie A champions hosted A.C. Bari, for a edges clash, but things did not go as expected, as Inter lost control over their game, as Mou was close to first home defeat this 8 years:

Massimo Maccarone took the lead, but Diego Milito equaled. Wesley Sneijder scored the 2-1 but Albin Ekdal netted. Maccarone scored again, but late goal of Sneijder and a controversial goal of Walter Samuel won that.

January 16 v Bari (A) – DREW 2-2 (Serie A)January 9 v Siena (H) – WON 4-3 (Serie A)

January 6 v Chievo (A) – WON 1-0 (Serie A)

December 20 v Lazio (H) – WON 1-0 (Serie A)

December 16 v Livorno (H) – WON 1-0 (Coppa Italia)

If this narrow win has not convinced you in Inter’s middling form, the 2-2 against A.S. Bari on January 16 is another example to what you can call Jose Mourinho’s ass, which saves the day for Inter.

Bari took the lead in the 60′ minute after a balanced match with Barreto. Barreto scored again 3 minutes later, but again, Inter came back, as Goran Pandev (68′) and Diego Milito (73′) scored to rescue a point.

But please, don’t jump to make conclusions. Those matches, are matters Milan must consider, as, the Nerazzuri have the ability to come out of situations, and make comebacks, which is dangerous.

The strong characteristic and the passion to play until the referee whishes to the end ; the stopples fight on balls, and the faith they can still win matches even though are down, are what make Inter so good.

Inter are now in the first place in league. The might seem to lose control. Two months ago, the Nerazzuri dominate the league, and the gaps from Milan and Juventus were big, now, it’s down to six only.

Inter must invest everything on Sunday for a victory. The already did it this season in the crushing victory that showed they are the best in league back then. Now, Mourinho’s man must prove they are to win the league.

NEWS: Sneijder missed training on Friday. The reporters believe he was freed for personal reasons, while the others think he is in danger for the derby. Stankovic is unlikely to feature, while Muntari and Motta seem okay.

Inter are with less momentum. But, as did many times before, both in league and Champions League, Inter can get out of tough moments and change paths in games.

“Ronaldinho scares me,” said Inter president Massimo Morrati on Thursday. The Brazilian has found form again, as he is the assist-Maestro right for now in Serie A, but also scores a lot of goals.

‘Dinho leads the scoring table at Milan along with Alexandre Pato (who is injured and will not take part against Inter) and it looks like the player revives his Barcelona form, in black & red outfit.

But that’s not only Ronaldinho. AC Milan is blooming the recent weeks. Since 30 of September, Milan lost only once in all competitions, as performing in top form and give it all in every clash.

At Milan, they claim this match isn’t decisive, but deep down, in the depths of their hearts, they know this match can change entirely the path of the league, and re-open the Scudetto race for them.

January 17 v Siena (H) – WON 4-0 (Serie A)

January 13 v Novara (H) – WON 2-1 (Coppa Italia)

January 10 v Juventus (A) – WON 3-0 (Serie A)

January 6 v Genoa (H) – WON 5-2 (Serie A)

December 13 v Palermo (H) – LOST 2-0 (Serie A)

This is one-life chance which Milan cannot give-up on, as the Rossoneri are correctly second in the standing table of the Serie A, with 40 points and they are only 6 points away from Inter, but have one missing fixture.

The victories of Milan prove they are on the wave. The matches of the Rossonera are being played with a lot of passion. Take AC Milan’s 5-2 against Genoa or the 4-0 against as examples – it showed the new Milan.

Leonardo has processed preceded a total make over for Milan. Carlo Ancelotti’s Diavolo, which played last season, played with a slight quantity of passion – but with Leo – Brazil arrived to San Siro.

Dida, Thiago Silva, Ronaldinho and Alexandre Pato, are just few of complex of talent in the squad. There is a Brazilian in each role on the field, which is in the first XI, and gives his best every match.

Leo claimed Alessandro Nesta symbolizes the new Milan, the Milan he wanted to create, but Ancelotti said that he think Marco Borriello is actually the new Milan. But, that is really not matter, as finally, Milan are Milan.

Milan play with smile, but things are going too easy lately. When the match was in Juventus control, the scoreline was 0-3 to Milan, with three goals from three corners. The question was: will this be enough vs. Inter?

But, this question will be resolved only at the end of 90 minutes, in which Milan will play with fire in their eyes, as want to revenge for the embarrassing 0-4 defeat in week 2, which almost count them out of the race.

NEWS: Pato, Oddo, Onyewu, Adiyah (national duty) and Zambrotta are out. Seedorf is understood to be available, while one of Milan key-players Nesta is in serious doubt and his situation will be set on Saturday.

This match could proved to be the most important in this season for Serie A glory, and Milan, despite not admitting that, know a win on Sunday would allow them to fight hard at Inter, with a real Scudetto chance.

The match will be played in a great atmosphere with great expectations from both sides. Should Alessandro Nesta recovers, Milan chances are higher, but Inter will be a very hard opponents. It’s the best show the Serie A can supply support, the Derby dello Madonnina, and sometimes, it’s meant to be equaled…but not on Sunday. Inter Milan 1-2 AC Milan

Well, it’s a very important match, I’m not so if it’s so crucial because both sides will probably fall later in the season, but it will be fun to watch. I think Inter are very strong, but Milan are in form and have great momentum. In my opinion – Milan 1-1 Inter
