The Italian goalkeeper gives some information about Marseille coach Didier Deschamps, as the coach himself believes Milan are still Milan despite the recent results
After the 0-0 draw on Saturday against Livorno, the next stop in Milan league is against Olympique de Marseille. The Champions League is always special for Milan, who won seven-times in this most desirable trophy for teams.
Flavio Roma, who joined to Milan from Monaco in the recent summer, used to work under ‘OM’ coach, Didier Deschamps. Deschamps appointed as Marseille coach this summer, but made some impressive work in the transfer market and with the team.
Milan and Marseille are in the same level, and the competition is between these two teams about who will go up to the top 16 stage, since Real Madrid will probably be there. Speaking to Milan Channel, Flavio Roma talked about his former team, he said:
"Didier is well known in Italy as a player and as a coach he uses all his experience in leagues like the Italian, French, Spanish and English ones. He's a 'psychologist-coach' because in moments of difficulty he can recreate the right enthusiasm.
"Tactically and technically he is well prepared. Marseille are a very physical team, as are all French teams who have great technical qualities and are of a high level. Deschamps is a coach who prepares matches very well."
Marseille have won three times and drew twice in the five rounds the Ligue 1 had until today. The French outfit finished in the second place of the French first division last year. According to Roma, the match is not going to be easy also because of the coach.
"Despite the latest results Milan remain Milan. Pato, Ronaldhino, Huntelaar, Pirlo, Ambrosini, Flamini, Zambrotta, Jankulovski… they're all players of international calibre. Milan are a great team with great players," OM coach Deschamps told the club's Official Site.
The match between the two sides will take place on Tuesday night, at the Stade Vélodrome stadium of Marseille, 7:45 PM CET.
