Silva: 24-years-old, Full Of Talent, But Could Not Show That Against Inter
The first training of the Rossoneri after Inter clash took pace on Tuesday noon. AC Milan defender Thiago Silva spoke after the training with Milan Channel about Inter match and the partnership with Alessandro Nesta in the center of AC Milan defense
Despite told he is over-prepared to Inter Milan clash, Thiago Silva was one of the eleven Milan players (ten players after Gattuso sent off), that could not stop the goals from coming into the net, as the Nerazzuri recorded first big win since 1998 over Milan in what they considered an away match.
The match was not good at all; the defense, midfield and attack didn’t function for almost all the match, a thing that helped Inter to score four different goals, with our different players. Thiago Silva and Alessandro Nesta couldn’t handle with new improved 2009 Inter Milan, and keep Milan goal protected.
However, Milan have to get over it and move on, as Thiago Silva believes Milan can restart again in two weeks, when they face Livorno in an away match (this weekend the Serie A will not be playing as players will be gone for national clashes). Asked Milan match, Silva told Milan Channel mikes:
"When you lose a match like the derby it's always hard to resume training, we'll talk about the match and analyze the mistakes made on the pitch after working hard for a week to prepare the match.
"I think the result was too large because in the first 25 minutes we weren't inferior to Inter and it's hard to understand what happened.
"At the start we played well and managed to play until we conceded a goal, we should've been calmer to try to overturn the situation. Instead we became nervous, while everyone knows that in those moments you need to stay calm.
"Now we have to work a lot on tactics and this championship break will give us the chance to do it. Leonardo is also a very good coach at working on tactical situations and we are waiting for the return of the internationals to prepare the match against Livorno
"We'll have to go there to play well and do well. We have players with great quality and I don't think we should let our heads hang after the derby because the league has just started and we need positivity in the group."
Alessandro Nesta hailed at Silva more than once, and this is the time the Brazilian to say something about him as well. When Milan Channel’s interviewer asked him about the working with great player like Sandro, Silva answered:
"Alessandro was off the pitch for a long time and coming back to play like this wouldn't have been easy for anyone, but he's a reference point for the team and we help each other."
