NEMANJA VIDIC could be on his way to Italy, as Milan are joining Real Madrid in the race for the services of the Serbian who is set to leave Old Trafford in June.

The 28-year-old will leave Manchester United in summer, when the transfer window reopens, as Spanish and Italian powerhouses, AC Milan and Real Madrid, are ready to lure the player, according to English’s The Daily Mirror.

Red Devils Coach, Sir Alex Ferguson will leave Nemanja leave in summer, and based this decision when signed Chris Smalling from Fulham, who will join the United in the summer.

Real Madrid are said to offer £20m for the player, but it is believed that Ferguson would demand five more. Vidic’s old friend, Cristiano Ronaldo, has tried to persuade the player to sign for the Blancos.

Vidic has made it clear that he would like to leave England, which is probably because of his wife, who told in the summer that she is tired from leaving at England, and wants her husband to leave the United.

The Spanish club has already made an offer, but it seems that Milan are ready for a trade in, which brings Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to Manchester United (plus cash) and Vidic to Milanello.

The Dutchman has made no impact since arrived from Real Madrid in the summer, while the Rossoneri want to reinforce their defense that is not getting younger. Nemanja is the man Milan need, but there is competition.

A deal, which seems Huntelaar going to Manchester could be welcomed at the Old Trafford side, as Michael Owen is set to leave the club. Sir Alex must have another striker, and Milan must a defender so it fits well.

AC Milan will face Vidic and United on February 16 at Stadio San Siro when the clock strikes 8:45 at Italy. Rio Ferdinand and Wes Brown are fully recovered from injury, but Vidic would take a place in first XI.
