Torino’s Cairo: “Milan want Cerci? I can’t wait forever”

ALESSIO CERCI will most likely not wear the Rossoneri colours in the 2014/15 season.

Milan were negotiating for Alessio Cerci with Torino this summer but their plans changed after the Trofeo TIM and after the sale of Mario Balotelli and it appears that Torino President Urbano Cairo has waited enough for Adriano Galliani.

“I saw Galliani last Tuesday and I knew he was negotiating the sale of Balotelli. When we greeted we thought that we would meet again but it’s clear that I can’t wait forever,” Cairo told La Stampa. (continue reading…)

No Milan-Torino meeting for Cerci, Arcore summit on Wednesday

ADRIANO GALLIANI will return to Milano this evening but he did not discuss Alessio Cerci with Torino’s Urbano Cairo.

Galliani and Filippo Inzaghi left Reggio Emilia last night for Forte dei Marmi, after the Rossoneri won the Trofeo TIM, winning both 45-minute games against Juventus and Sassuolo. It appears the TIM win has had an effect on the market.

After the game against Chelsea, Milan decided that they need another goalkeeper and signed Diego Lopez from Real Madrid and it seems that after the Trofeo TIM, the Rossoneri decided that a right winger is not the most urgent buy now. (continue reading…)

Report: Milan change transfer plans – winger no longer a priority

MILAN HAVE reportedly changed their strategy and are no longer keen to sign a right winger in this transfer market.

A few days ago a winger was the only real request of coach Filippo Inzaghi but it appears that things have changed after the recent Trofeo TIM. Milan won that pre-season tournament rather convincingly and their attack looked quite good.

Keisuke Honda, Jeremy Menez and Stephan El Shaarawy impressed against Juventus and Sassuolo and that, in addition to the positive performances of M’Baye Niang earlier in the pre-season, has apparently led Galliani to change his mind. (continue reading…)

Milan close to Lestienne, but Cerci talks will continue today

ADRIANO GALLIANI will meet Urbano Cairo to discuss Alessio Cerci today but they already have an alternative.

Milan sold Mario Balotelli to Liverpool and in the last days all the focus has been on finding a replacement for the departing striker but today the Rossoneri will return to the negotiating table for Torino’s left-footed right winger Alessio Cerci.

Cerci’s name has always been at the top of Milan’s list and negotiations have been going on for a while now but there is still a gap. For that reason, Milan are (reportedly) close to securing the services of Club Brugge KV’s Maxime Lestienne. (continue reading…)

Galliani to meet Torino to resume Cerci talks tomorrow?

ALESSIO CERCI is still a goal of Milan and Adriano Galliani is expected to have a meeting with Torino’s Urbano Cairo on Sunday.

Milan are searching for a striker to replace Mario Balotelli who is departing for Liverpool but a right winger is also needed at Milanello and negotiations for Cerci could resume on Sunday.

“Over the last few days we haven’t had any more contact with Milan. As you know, Adriano Galliani had other issues to deal with…” Torino President Cairo is quoted as saying on Saturday’s Tuttosport. Alessio played a great season, so it’s natural he has offers from not just Milan, but other clubs too. If there is a concrete and important proposal for him, of course we won’t hold him back, but it has to be an interesting solution for Torino too. We still have 8 days. Cerci is a Torino player and we’d be happy if he stayed with us.” (continue reading…)

Report: Milan make new €13 million bid for Cerci

MILAN CONTINUE to work on signing Alessio Cerci and Adriano Galliani had two meetings with Urbano Cairo yesterday.

The Rossoneri backed out of the race for Torino’s Cerci but got back to it in full swing. Filippo Inzaghi wants a left-footed right winger who can score 10-12 goals per season and the 27-year-old remains at the top of the red and black list.

The budget of Milan is not as big as the fans would’ve liked but it seems that the resources will be invested to sign Cerci (or another winger in case Milan fail to get him) and maybe also a midfielder will be brought although it’s not a priority now. (continue reading…)

Milan back in for Cerci: Galliani met Torino today

ALESSIO CERCI is still Milan’s number one target and they are ready to challenge Atletico Madrid, it’s reported today.

The Italian media suggested yesterday that Milan have told Torino that they are no longer interested in signing Alessio Cerci due to his cost but it appears that the Rossoneri have changed their minds and are still pursuing the Toro winger.

Torino want €18-20 million for Cerci, who was very impressive last season – perhaps forming the best attack in Italy with Ciro Immobile who has moved to Borussia Dortmund, and Milan are challenging Atletico Madrid for his signing. (continue reading…)

Milan abandon the Cerci race, Costa and Pandev the targets

ALESSIO CERCI is too expensive for Milan, who continue to consider other options – including Goran Pandev of Napoli.

Milan are still in need for reinforcements and while many would argue money should be spent on improving the midfield, the club’s top intention is to get a left-footed right winger and it appears that one name has been crossed off the list.

Alessio Cerci has been the number one target ever since Juan Iturbe became unavailable but it now appears that Milan have decided to stop their pursue of Cerci, due to the demands of Torino which the red and blacks find excessive. (continue reading…)

Milan in for a winger: Costa, Cerci and Lavezzi the top options

DOUGLAS COSTA has emerged as the top priority for the right winger role after the summit at Arcore last evening.

Milan completed the signings of Pablo Armero and Diego Lopez yesterday but the Rossoneri are still not done in this transfer market and they are still very much interested in signing a right winger, preferably one that mainly uses his left foot.

Adriano Galliani took pictures with Armero and Lopez and afterwards he got in the car with Filippo Inzaghi and the two travelled to Silvio Berlusconi’s villa at Arcore, where the three (and Mediaset’s Fedele Confalonieri) spoke about the market. (continue reading…)

Cerci-Vrsaljko: Berlusconi gives the OK for the negotiations

SILVIO BERLISCONI has told Adriano Galliani he can continue the talks with Genoa and Torino, according to La Gazzetta.

Milan’s pre-season begins tomorrow at Milanello but Filippo Inzaghi and Adriano Galliani are still not satisfied with the squad; they met President Silvio Berlusconi yesterday at his Arcore villa & they reportedly spoke about the transfer market.

The Rossoneri have signed Michael Agazzi, Jeremy Menez and Alex (and bought out Andrea Poli, Riccardo Saponara and Michelangelo Albertazzi) but Pippo is still in need for reinforcements in order to fight for a top three Serie A spot next year. (continue reading…)
