OFFICIAL: Carlo Ancelotti takes Chelsea job +Leonardo’s job

The Rossoneri former head Coach Carlo Ancelotti has announced that he leaving AC Milan this summer as Galliani said Leonardo will take charge in the team starting this summer.

Carlo Ancelotti has used to be link with Roman Abramovic’s Chelsea for being the next coach. In the start, that all was very dark and vague as Ancelotti said he could not talk about Chelsea etc. In the last week, that all turn clear – Carlo and Roman has agreed to discover everything and Ancelotti told the meeting between them both – specifically.

According to Carlo’s words, there were two main meeting: one in Paris and the second in Geneva. He told he consider the Chelsea move very carefully and did not want to do things he will feel sorry about in the future. Ancelotti descried the meetings in his book ‘Preferisco La Coppa’ (I reported about it as well) and there he said that he is in special meeting as he about to meet the Chelsea’s owner – Roman Abramovic.

Ancelotti had eight successful years with the Black & Red but he feels he is already fullest from this place and he wants something new. “Ancelotti’s fortunes changed when he went to AC Milan in 2001 as a replacement for the fired Fatih Terim. He was inheriting another recently trophy less team in Milan, as the Rossoneri had floundered domestically and in Europe since their last Scudetto victory in 1999. In his first full season, Ancelotti soon had Milan back in European competition, leading them to the semi-finals of the 2001-02 UEFA Cup, in which Milan finished third.” [Wikipedia]

Milan finished the season when they are in third place following the winning yesterday over Fiorentina (0 – 2). Right after the game a falling of BREACKING NEWS has came to our hands: First, it was Ancelotti turn to break of his contract with Milan. Ancelotti who was contract with Milan until 2010 has decided to get the hell out of there by one of July.

“Its simply that I had an agreement with the club, and we decided to anticipate the times and agree to end my contract, and thus my time with Milan finishes a year before 2010,” Ancelotti told Sky Italia after the match. Ancelotti loved Milan and he even played with Milan in the old eighties and the young nineties. Like everybody in the club, he is happy Milan reached the Champions League, though they want to win it when he in charge. “It finishes with happiness as we have reached our objective and I would like to thank the club and all the players as well as the president and all the staff and fans,” he said.

Ancelotti is completely okay with what he has done and he thinks that is only for good, for the two sides. “I think my time has ended in the right way and I think it’s the best for both parties,” ‘Carletto’ claimed yesterday. “These eight years have been a beautiful adventure for me,” he added. When he was asking if he have anywhere to go to he said no, but that was yesterday. “I cannot officialese my future because there is nothing official,” added the coach. “I have not made any agreement with any club, and thus there is nothing,” Carlo insisted yesterday.

Carlo was asking about a Chelsea option and answered “London? There are no certainties.” There were talks about Ancelotti wish list which named few Milan’s player like Kaka, Pirlo, Seedorf and Gattuso but when he been asked about it, he giggled and said: “Would I take a player with me? There is one [Maldini], but I don’t think I will be able to convince him.”

Early in this morning, the unemployed coach Carlo Ancelotti said that he would go Real Madrid or Chelsea in this summer. We knew it is more likely he will go to Chelsea but maybe he wanted to see the options open with Real Madrid again after call them the biggest bluff of my life. Perez is in charge again after was all alone in the election – the others competitors just quit like Ancelotti for their own reasons.

Ancelotti was hard to choose between two beautiful cities. “London or Madrid? It’s not just anything. I am ready for any adventure. I have the experience to do this job anywhere,” Ancelotti told Radio Anchio Sport. Again, he was asking about the player he will/will not take with him when he someday will get a job, he answered this: “Will I take many players from Milan? Gattuso? He is a ‘Bandiera‘ player and it is right that he remains [in Milan].” He coached a great player in his team and said ”Maldini? We will always be friends and I will always have the honour of having worked alongside a great champion.”

‘London or Madrid?’ – he chose London as few hours after Ancelotti said that, it was announce that THE NEW COACH OF CHELSEA IS….. CARLO ANCELOTTI! Ancelotti signed over a contract for three years, and will take charge over the FA Cup winners on one of July from the hands of the Dutch coach Guus Hiddink. In Chelsea’s official site, it was written: “Chelsea is delighted to announce that Carlo Ancelotti has agreed to become our new manager,” they wrote. “He has signed a three year contract and will start on July 1 2009,” it been added.

Chelsea looked for a coach who can brings them high in Europe, Ancelotti has many experience with the Champions League as he won twice as midfielder and twice with Milan as coach. Ancelotti also gave Milan one Scudetto, which is no that much for eight years. Ancelotti was one of the favourites candidates to this job with Chelsea and they hope he will do a good job. “Carlo was the outstanding candidate for the job, he has proved over a long period his ability to build teams that challenged for, and have been successful in, major domestic and European competitions,” the statement added.

The Blues are also were enthusiastic from his playing career as midfielder: “He also had a highly successful playing career in those competitions and therefore brings unparalleled all round experience to the job,” the man who wrote the statement said. “We are sure everybody at Chelsea will give him a warm welcome and we are all looking forward to working with him,” it concluded.

Many players were close to Ancelotti, Kaka, and Gattuso mostly. Gattuso is always looking like a tough person, who does not afraid from anything but with it – he is very emotional. When he first saw Ancelotti with a Chelsea agreement, his eyes shed some tears. “We would like to thank Ancelotti for a great eight years. We knew he would be joining Chelsea, but we didn’t say anything in order to protect the team,” Galliani told Sky Sport Italia. “A lot of players cried when Ancelotti left, including Gattuso, he was more upset that others,” the Vice-President said. “It’s not over with Ancelotti. There remains friendship, affection and eight marvellous years together. I am very good friends with Carlo and I must admit there were a few tears shed in the locker room this evening,” Galliani added. About Kaka Adriano said, he would not leave the club!

The Rossoneri team is officially wishing Ancelotti all the best in the future as Chelsea coach.

Milan knew Ancelotti is going to leave the club in the summer but did not say anything about it. What they did did was find someone to take in charge over the team “if” Ancelotti would leave. There were many names such as Rijkaard, Spalletti and even Marco Van Basten. But there was a name they I never expected to take charge over the team, this name is Leonardo Araújo who was Milan’s player before and also a director but now HE IS THE NEW HEAD-COACH OF AC MILAN.

The announcement made after the match of Milan – Fiorentina. Vice President Adriano Galliani has told Rai that the next coach will be Leonardo following Carlo Ancelotti break off from Milan. “It’s true, Leonardo will be the Milan coach next season. He will be presented to the press on Monday at midday,” Galliani said on Raidue Stadio Sprint. The Brazilian Leonardo played for 96 games with Black & Red uniform and has certainly no past in coaching. Milan are taking big risk with this move.

Leonardo wanted Ancelotti to quit because he knew he can get this job and this is a big jump for him. Leonardo had his first press conference as Milan coach today. “How I see myself? More with the tie than the track suit. Without doubt I change role, but I’m a coach,” he said. “Today I have a club vision, I know perfectly well the culture, philosophy, the needs of this club because I worked in the management. I see myself as an administrator of a structure which already works very well and which can be improved,” he added.

“President Silvio Berlusconi has always had words of encouragement for me, just like general manager Adriano Galliani. Our president is a person who dreams and close to him there is a club who is concentrated in making these dreams become reality,” Leonardo said. He hopes much but what about the results. Milan believe in him but how long can he stand?

“I want to wish Leonardo great success. The choice to bring him in as coach was a club decision. All of our decisions were made together. Leonardo was Berlusconi’s, mine, and the club’s choice. He is the right man. To be a good coach you need qualities, both human and technical, and he has these. Milan want to follow the road of Capello with Leonardo. Like Leonardo, Capello played for us, then he was a director here, and then he became coach. “We want Leonardo to do the same. We are sure Leonardo will do great things. He is intelligent and has a good relationship with the players,” Galliani told about the new coach.

Leonardo sign over a contract for two years, which expire on 30 July 2011. “I am truly happy for this choice. I have been here for 12 years and starting after Carlo means something even deeper as I had a good rapport with him,” Leonardo told Sky Sport Italia during unveiling. “It was extraordinary yesterday and to see all the players crying was strong,” added the coach.

“Carlo has always stimulated me to accept this role. It has been difficult over the last few days with everything that has happened. I am happy, I start a new adventure. Now we have to construct. We have the right foundations in terms of will and determination in place to succeed. We have a good structure here and I don’t think there is any need to make major changes,” concluded the new coach.

The Rossoneri team is officially wishing Leonardo all the best in the future as AC Milan coach.
