De Silvestri: Milan are keen on bringing him
The transfer market is supposedly close for AC Milan but reports point out that Milan will try to bring Lazio’s outcast De Silvestri in exchange for Massimo Oddo
AC Milan right-back Oddo could play again in the Italian capital in a deal that sees Lazio’s back-winger Lorenzo De Silvestri going to the fashion city, Milano.
According to a report from Il Corriere Dello Sport, the Rossoneri are keen on a swap deal between De Silvestri and Oddo, in order to add fresh and young spirit to the old defense. The report suggests that Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has given a green light to the operation and Milan will try to set a price for him.
De Silvestri is maybe one of the best youngsters of Serie A, but he has been left out of the Aquilotti squad this season due to squabble over a new deal, and he’s keen to make an exit. The Old Lady would like to bring the 21-years-old to Stadio Olimpico di Torino too but Milan have a leverage.
Oddo, 33, saw Lazio exit on 2007 following a row with the club’s president. On Tuesday, he suggested that he doesn’t believe Lazio return is possible. The hard part of this deal is convince Oddo to switch with De Silvestri.
"I am a Milan player and I am trying to earn a regular place in the team," Oddo told Ilsussidiario.net. "The swap with De Silvestri? You can never rule out anything in life, but I am a Milan player, and I only want to think about the team I am with."
