Milan Must To Reinforce, Says Vagheggi

CLAUDIO VAGHEGGI believes that Milan summer transfer campaign was not helpful at all, as telling the roles that should be strengthening in January.

Adriano Galliani insists that no one, except for David Beckham and Dominic Adiyiah would arrive to Milanello in the winter, but Italian football agent and transfer market expert Claudio Vagheggi thinks differently.

Milan did almost nothing during in summer in the TM area, selling Kaka, Yoann Gourcuff, while buying some young players for the Primavera. Leonardo demanded a striker, and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar arrived.

As Huntelaar does not get any playing time, Vagheggi believes that a further striker is needed, as well as a midfielder in order to get Milan squad much better in the winter.

“I don’t think the squad was strengthened in the summer. [Klaas-Jan] Huntelaar was the one who was expected to make the difference in attack, but he has disappointed,” he told Tuttomercatoweb.com.

“They need a midfielder who can add some weight. Someone like [Kwadwo] Asamoah would be good.

“Also, they should replace [Filippo] Inzaghi in attack, but finding someone who can do that is hard. I think another striker to help out Huntelaar is ideal.”
