ALESSANDRO NESTA faces a knee-injury that will take him out for the rest of the season, as according to experts, his injury is not so common among football players.
Newspapers in Italy suggest on Saturday that Milan stalwart, Nesta, will be sidelined until the end of the season, as he suffers from a popliteal tendon in his right knee, which will require surgery and long recuperation.
Professor Stefano Lovati, a medical expert, and consultant at Lazio, told il Corriere dello Sport that the injury the former Aquile defender is rare in football world, and he would certainly exclude a return to the pitch in 60 days.

Galliani: Injuries Were Too Decisive
“In effects this injury is rather rare in footballers, and in sports personnel in general,” Lovati said.
“I think surgery would be more complex compared to an operation on a meniscus because of the zone where surgery would be carried out. Also, the recovery would require plenty of physiotherapy.
“I would exclude that the recovery time would be less than six weeks.”
