
Onyewu: Compelte the match but could defend Mexico scorers
Six Rossoneri players played on Wednesday with their international teams, having record one win, two ties, and two defeats
All Andrea Pirlo, Gianluca Zambrotta, Marek Jankulovski, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Davide Di Gennaro and Oguchi Onyewu were on national duty last night. Only one player did not play but the others had another opportunity to show what they got without the help of the other Rossoneri team-mates.
Pirlo, Zambrotta and Italy senior team met Switzerland the other day. The match ended with goalless tie on the result-board. Both Rossoneri players opened in Marcello Lippi’s squad that saw another failure. Zambrotta was the first to be replaced after 45 minutes; Pirlo was replaced after 61 minutes.
Marek Jankulovski didn’t was on the pitch but Czech Republic scored 3 goals, having completed 3-1 victory over Belgium. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar who joined Milan last week, played only for last the 12 minutes with Holland, which was in advantage of two goals. But England and Beckham made it 2-2.
The Under-21 Italy team saw Davide Di Gennaro on the pitch for 57 minutes. He and the Azzuri have lost 3-2 to Russia Under-21 team. American defender Oguchi Onyewu is the only Milan player who played for the entire game, but USA lost again to Mexico and hurt their chances to climb to the World Cup.
