ADRIANO GALLIANI has given his views over the humiliating knock out AC Milan had suffered against Manchester United one day after the 4-0 defeat in Old Trafford.
Four balls have made all the way to the back of Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati’s goal. Wayne Rooney scored twice, as both Park Ji-Sung and Darren Fletcher added one more each.
That was an awful night of the defense, which didn’t include the injured Alessandro Nesta. And after 45 minutes, Bonera got injured too, with Luca Antonini and Alexandre Pato sidelined.

Man United 4-0 AC Milan: Elimination Follows Humiliation
“What happened? It happened that we cannot give away players like Nesta, Pato and Ambrosini before and then Bonera during the game. The injuries of these players have made the difference,” Galliani said.
“It went badly, but now let’s jump back in the league because through this we shall find the way to return to our beloved Champions League.
“Three years ago we won and now they won. I compliment a wonderful Rooney, not for the goals, but for the work and sacrifice he dedicates to the team.
“In any case for us it’ was really tough, some players are not easy to replace and at the start of the second half, the injury of Bonera forced our coach to redesign the setup of our defence.”
Milan are not the only one losing their spot in Champions League this season. On Tuesday, Fiorentina faced Bayern Munich. The game was in the Viola’s hands twice, but two long-range shots closed the story.
“Milan and Fiorentina out of the Champions League? A tough blow for Italian football, but after all we pay for the lack adequate grounds in Italy and all of this was expected.
“It’s clear that I’m not saying that with adequate stadiums tonight we would have passed, I just think about the great resources the other European clubs have, despite sport defeats.
“The Manchester stadium turnovers 100 million more than hours, this is the difference, the other European clubs can be more competitive. In any case let’s forget tonight and jump back in the league.”

He’s right. With Pato, Nesta and Antonini we had a bigger chance. F**k United!
It was a tough match. Milan did not deserve more, not a goal especially. Now we look at the league…
lack adequate grounds? come on! a guy who can dance says the flor is curved
i think the best defensive group we can go with is
zambrotta-nesta-silva-antonini
we had 1 of the 4
pato is our best attacker…he was gone
this game was lost before it started by injuries and lack of depth
not having nesta and Antonini really hurt us. Dinho depends alot on Antonini. Pato was needed also, Borriello is not cutting it anymore. Hunt tried but not enough. Summer is coming, forget Dzeko and get us some defenders.
