Wright: Arsenal can be partying with Gattuso
Ex-Gunners striker, Ian Wright has recommended on AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso, as he believes ‘Rino’ needed at the Emirates stadium
Right before AC Milan lost 0-4 to Inter Milan, and Gennaro Gattuso picked up a red card (two yellows), Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal, lost 2-1 to Manchester United. Arsenal are managing young system, working on an age-average of 20-years-old. However, Ian Wright believes they need more than young promising players.
The former striker, said Arsenal need Milan injured Gennaro Gattuso, who has a very strong personality, but with it a great heart. Ian ignored the great heart part and said that Arsenal need more players like Gattuso, who aren’t afraid to put them all in the match and give everything from themselves.
Gattuso lost his fuse in Inter victory over Milan, when tackled new Inter midfielder Wesley Sneijder in the middle of the pitch right after ‘helped’ Inter to get their second after made Samuel Eto’o to be fallen at the penalty box. However, Wright is sure these kinds of players, most needed at the Gunners.
"Arsenal need to sign someone like AC Milan's Gennaro Gattuso, an experienced, tough-tackling midfield enforcer who would not have allowed himself or his team-mates to be bullied by a player like United's Darren Fletcher," Wright told The Sun.
This is really just a suggestion, because signing Gattuso is not very possible as he’s in love with the club, but it seemed like he doesn’t enjoy life under Leonardo like used to under with Carlo Ancelotti. However, ‘Rino’ is tied to a contract until 2011, plus, Wenger likes young players rather players who’re about to end their careers.
