LEONARDO aims to get the maximum from his boys in every match and he’s happy with the performances and improvement of specific players on the pitch.

The Brazilian coach is happy with the performance of the team, and he finally sees the outcome of his hard work as a coach at Milan, for the first time in his life.

Milan was in a big mess four months ago – the defense was not part of anything and the midfield and the attack were lacking Kaka. But, after this time, Leo and Milan are standing on an eight-match unbeaten record.

“A role of responsibility like mine implies a bit of everything,” Leonardo told during a press-conference ahead of the match against Cagliari on Sunday.

“I don’t know if it’s possible but we must find the key to understand everything: give the right motivations, we must try to put the player in the best possible condition to give his best.

“At the start we had many things to fix and to recover, the defensive department had a lot of things to try.

“There was the idea of reorganizing a bit everything, but so far I’m very happy thinking about the performances of Oddo and Zambrotta, think about the growth which we will see during the games of Abate and Antonini.

“These are all signs of great availability of the players and for a coach these are the best things,” he added.

Leo was then asked about Gennaro Gattuso return. He was linked with a move to Chelsea and Manchester City, but Galliani promised that he would stay at least until June. However, the coach talked about his injury.

“Every thing that happens must be evaluated at that moment. I’m calm, today he injured, I have with him a very direct rapport.

“He has a lot of will to return and I don’t think that there will be rotation problems in the moment in which we will have available all the players.”
