LEONARDO believes that Milan match against Juventus F.C. could deiced the future of his side about wheatear they continue chasing Inter, as he hopes the Nerazzuri to slip up.

AC Milan are correctly in the second place in the standing of the Serie A, eight points away from bitter rivals, and  league leaders Inter and one points in front of Juventus. But, those gaps could change for good or bad on Sunday.

The Rossoneri will take on the Old Lady on Sunday, and the match has the power to decide who will be sitting in second place and will have the right to keep up with Inter. Milan Coach Leo is aware of the importance.

“Tomorrow’s clash against Juventus will be decisive for the Scudetto, but between the clash of Turin, the derby and the postponed match against Fiorentina, January will give important responses,” he said.

“The decisive moments will arrive later on considering the entire second round.

“Our situation depends on the slip ups of Inter and the game consistency: only if we maintain a certain continuity, we will be able to arrive forward if there’s the possibility for a more important position t than the second place.”

When the press asked Juventus Coach Ciro Ferrara about the rivalry with Leonardo, he said that he is just happy for the success of Leo. On the rapport with Ferrara, the 40-year-old Brazilian told:

“My story and that of Ciro are similar. We are partners of almost identical situations. He chose a long time ago to be a coach. He was Marcello Lippi’s assistant coach in the national team.

“Also, Ciro is a friend. Tomorrow’s clash will be the most important game between us.

The former midfielder then continued to talk about the match, referring his words to Felipe Melo and Diego. The two talented Brazilian find it hard to deliver the production they are asked. But Leonardo defends them.

“The criticism against Felipe Melo and Diego? It’s not certain that a player to gel himself inside a new group must have a coach of the same nationality. Felipe Melo and Diego are paying for the face that they arrived this year.

“However, they are two important pawns for Juventus, two great players, just look at their history. In the past I played together with Felipe Melo at Flamengo. I was ending my career whereas he was emerging.

“He’s a player who is born as a central midfielder, he always had a lot of physical strength and has a good tendency to attack.”
