SILVIO BERLUSCONI cannot understand why AC Milan, which he owns, have taken Mancini on loan from Inter, as saying they didn’t need such a guy, when has been inactive for two years.

The last day of the transfer market saw the Rossoneri signing on loan, Inter midfielder, Amantino Mancini. The 29-year-old will spend half a year with AC Milan, as hoping to get back on fitness and regular playing.

It appears that Milan Coach Leonardo will use Mancini as a replacement to Ronaldinho and Alexandre Pato when aren’t healthy. But, Milan owner and Italy Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi, is unhappy with the new player.

“Mancini’s acquisition? I actually don’t understand it,” said Berlusconi during his meeting in Jerusalem, Israel. “He’s another attacking midfielder but what we need is someone who can finish moves.”

Adriano Galliani hailed an ‘excellent signing’ over Mancini, but the no. 1 Rossoneri fan, seems a bit disappointed with his right-hand man decision. “He’s been inactive for the last two years,” he added.

“I don’t agree with this acquisition and have told Galliani that.”

Mancini spent his good time at A.S. Roma, where he spent 5 years (from 2003-2008). Then, he moved to Milan city rivals Inter, but was not quite in Jose Mourinho’s plans, featuring only 26 times in two years.

Mr. Berlusconi then joked at his side’s last steps, as Leonardo’s side did not win in their last three games. “I go to the stadium on Sundays and lately I have seen people crying… Imagine, I have to cry and also pay…”
