DAVIDE ASTORI could be on his way to AC Milan this season, as the Rossoneri would like to reinforce the defense.
il Corriere dello Sport reports on Saturday that Cagliari defender, Astori, will head back to Milan in June, when the transfer market reopens, if the deal between Milan and Manchester United over Nemanja Vidic doesn’t work.
The defense of the Rossoneri is getting older and they are looking for a sharp player who can be a replacement to the well-proven Alessandro Nesta once he reties as correct replacements are close to Nesta’s age.

Astori, 23, grew in Milan youth department and then was sent to two loan spells at Pizzighettone and Cremonese between 2006 and 2008. Today, he plays for Cagliari Calcio on co-ownership with AC Milan.
According to the Italian Sports daily, the managers of Via Turati would try to secure the services of Astori rather than fight with Real Madrid over Vidic, who has a higher fee clause as well.
