Allegri to Milan – Not before July

MASSIMILIANO ALLEGRI’s arrival will take a while.

The 42-year-old is correctly between clubs: Cagliari Calcio sacked him last season, as claiming he had been ‘distracted’ by clubs’ interests in him, but he’s is still under paid-contract, whilst he’s the certain new coach of Milan.

La Gazzetta dello Sport understands that Cagliari President Massimo Cellino is not interested in releasing Allegri so soon. Moreover, he wants to make Allegri pay for disrespecting him and for arranging deals behind his back.

The Isolani have already signed Allegri’s replacement, Pierpaolo Bisoli, Cesena coach who promoted them from Serie B to Serie A this season. But despite this, Cellino does not agree to resolve the Italian’s contract.

AC Milan Vice President Adriano Galliani is set to wait until 20 of July with his proposal to resolve Allegri’s contract, as trainings resume only then.

The Serie A Coach of the Year has allegedly told Milan he wants a fullback for next season – Ajax’s Gregory van der Wiel or Tottenham’s Gareth Bale. Allegri also asked not to sell Mathieu Flamini.

Meanwhile, assistant manager Mauro Tassotti is not sure if he remains at Milan. Tassotti has spent 30 years with Milan as a player and on staff role, but with Allegri coming over, he’s not sure.

“My future? I will decide in the next few days, since I will have to meet with both Allegri and the club. Looking each other in the eye is always better than talking over the phone. Then we’ll see,” Tassotti told.

“Certainly I don’t forget and don’t underestimate these 30 years at Milan. I thank all the fans for the affection they always show me… it’s not easy for me either.”

  3. Tremendousice says:

this sucks. If a deal does not seal soon, Berlusconi might be tempted to bring someone else. But Allegri seems to know what he is doing by asking he wants a fullback and keep flamini. I’m starting to like his style and forget we ever had Leonardo.

  4. Ola says:

I think we should play this way next season (I added few players that I think we can buy):

    —————-Alves (Almeria)——————
    —-van der Wiel (Ajax)—Nesta-Silva—-Antonini—
    ——-Pirlo———–Ganso (Santos)—–Ambro—–
    ———Pato——-Borriello——–Ronaldinho

  5. Yeha says:

this means we WON’T buy anyone by then…

  6. Unie says:

Forza Milan! We need a coach hurry. Yeah, we’re on vacation, but we need to appoint someone quickly. I like Allegri. He’s intelligent, perhaps even more than Leonardo.
