Adiyiah: I Want To Deliver More

DOMINIC ADIYIAH has been granted with another title as was named as the best young African player of the year. The 20-year-old is happy with the title, as now he wants to deliver more.

The striker is officially Africa Young Player of the Year for 2009, and this is not a big surprise, after Adiyiah has taken Ghana U-20 national team to first-historic World Cup victory.

It didn’t take too long until big clubs put their eyes on the diamond, as AC Milan were the first to put their hands over him. The player, who got the title yesterday, wants to be someday Africa’s best player as well as a world star soon.

“Nothing is impossible,” Adiyiah told Goal.com. “I’ll get there one day. I’m so happy tonight. I thought I was coming here to congratulate the winner in my category but here I am with the real thing. Thanks be to God.

“Many great players have passed through this scenario and it’s going to be tough for me now. All the recipients did a great job in 2009. In life you accept anything that comes your way.”

He continued: “It’s a dream come true and I hope to deliver more than ever before. I know there is a lot within me and I can do it with God’s grace.”

The player has never been in action for the Rossoneri and by far Leonardo has included him in the squad once. However, he played with the Primavera team this week, and Coach Giovanni Stroppa said he was good.

I want to see Adiyiah playing. Everyone are telling he’s so good, but I haven’t watched enough from him to know if he plays well or not…

  4. SA says:

I hope Leo will use him against Chievo. Pato is sidelined, and we need a winger (he’s a winger right?), but also if he’s center forward – I’d put Borriello on right and him in the middle

  5. AC Milan Egypt says:

He played against us (Egypt) in the final of the African Cup of Nations. He didn’t do too much, but he came on as a late sub when we were in a lead…

  6. Tremendousice says:

i think that Adiyiah is still to young to play in league like ( calcio ) , we are live in a world that diffrent from the others .. Adiyiah to the future .. yes , now ?! I don’t think so ! ForZa Milan ..

  9. Solo- Ghana Africa says:

Adiyiah is not only a very good striker but he has a good finish and can also play as a play maker. Leo should give him a chance or the Adiyiah go before he mess his young career up.

  10. sam says:

Dominic should play as soon as possible as he has already shown what he can do at the under 20 world cup, i have seen him and he is a world class player, Leo should not spoil his career and let him play
