AC Milan Sign New Sponsorship Deal

FLY EMIRATES is the new sponsors of AC Milan and they will pay the Rossoneri €60m during four years. This move appears to be an attempt to take over the club from the hands of Silvio Berlusconi.

The Rossoneri club president and Italy Prime Minister could lead a process of selling up AC Milan, as according to il Corriere dello Sport, Fly Emirates head chairman, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum wants to take over.

Milan have signed a new sponsorship deal with Fly Emirates and Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, that see them getting €60m until 2014, in simple math, €15m per year plus Champions League bonuses.

Further reports in Italy tell that Al Maktoum will use this new sponsorship deal in a way of increasing his investment in Milan, and eventually, buying a stake in the club. In summer, he tried according to reports.

Those reports, when the newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore reported first, claimed the tycoon would try to buy 40 per cent from Silvio Berlusconi’s holding company, Fininvest, which holds the Rossoneri.

Those rumors were denied by the club’s chiefs but this hasn’t stopped the talks of a takeover. Anyhow, the €15m Milan get for 2010 go straight to June transfer market, where it appears Milan will visit a lot.

I hope Silvio wouldn’t sell up this club! Forza Milan. Silvio is the best president a club can have, too bad he’s not as involved as he used to but he’s the Prime Minister of Italy. The new sponorship deal is good, money is alwasy good… but I hope it will be nothing more than this…

  2. Frack says:

Well, Italy must be aware from the foreigner owners. The families of Morrati and Berlusconi are the Italian football, and not such persons like Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum with all due respect. Fly Emirates is a fine sponsor, let’s buy some players!!

  3. Tutto says:

I’m from Armenia, and I think Milan must sell. Nothing good comes out of Berlusconi anymore. It’s whether sell or resign Berlusconi! QUIT ITALY JOB FOR FOOTBALL. I know it’s sound very unrealistic, but please DO IT

  4. What says:

Ok, very well, 15m euros to our packet, should be enough for a young defender or midfielder. Add five more and you get Hernanes, add 10 more and you get Vidic. That’s good.

  5. Gha says:

GET VIDIC, HERNANES AND SELL KALADZE, FAVALLI AND ALL THE OTHER OLD PLAYERS!! Don’t sell up B

  6. SA says:

Forza Berlusconi. Viva la Italy! Don’t sell the club, and Milan – remember, with 15m euros you can buy a good player, and when you add some more, like What said, Milan can get some great players. Forza Milan!
