AC MILAN are hosting S.S.C NAPOLI on Sunday afternoon in Stadio San Siro, when the clock strikes 3.00, as the Rossoneri will be willing to take over first place and get all three points.

With a chance to claim the first place in Serie A should Inter drop points against Palermo, Milan will fight very hard. Nothing goes smoothly for the Rossoneri at late, but there are no talks of a crisis, as the gap from Inter is one point.

The Neapolitans look off-form lately, but in football, everything can happen. Napoli have great force in the attack, and against an injured Milan defense, they will find it more easy to score than often, as they seek place in Europe.

In the last time the sides faced each other, the match started in a storm with two goals of AC Milan scored by Filippo Inzaghi (2′) and Alexandre Pato (6′), but it also ended with a one with two Napoli goals scored by Luca Cigarini (90′) and Germán Gustavo Denis (90′+3) to make it 2-2 at the final whistle.

Milan enjoy Inter loss this season. The Nerazzuri have thrown away a massive eleven-point lead, as the gap between first and second places is correctly standing on one single point.

The Rossoneri are not in the best shape, after being defeated 4-0 by Manchester United and knocked out of the Champions League, the momentum is not quite high at the via Turati club.

However, despite those difficulties, Milan succeeded to achieve all three points against ChievoVerona. After tough 90 minutes, a brilliant Clarence Seedorf goal sent il Diavolo to celebrate.

Milan didn’t look good against the Flying Donkeys, but their performance, with many injuries, was enough to take an important pace ahead of the desirable Scudetto, which is the only title left to fight for.

A victory, and a possible drop of points by Inter, who play Palermo after the Champions League clash with Chelsea in which they won 1-0, would see Milan in the first spot of the Italian top division.

Still believing in a European spot, Napoli will arrive into San Siro when they know that a victory would take them closer to a place in which there is Europe. But they know it won’t be so easy to beat Milan.

At some point this season, Walter Mazarri’s men were among the top four of the Serie A, having a Champions League spot in their hands already. But dark times surrounding the Partenopei now.

The visitors will be trying to bounce back against Milan this Sunday, and finally win. Their last match in which they managed to win all three points took place on January 24 – seven games were played since.

In those seven games, Napoli were the losing side three times, while drew in other four. The Neapolitans form away is not nearly to their home-form, but with such a great attack, anything could happen.

Napoli are normally playing with three strikers, who are all very dangerous. Their seed and eye for goals in a real scare for defenses, and so Milan defense, with few injuries, will have to handle it on the best side.
