AC Milan – Juventus F.C. – More than just a game

Maldini and Del Piero. Legends fight
Maldini and Del Piero. Legends fight

The game we all waiting for this season is coming now as Milan are in great condition to win, while the boat of the Old-Lady is keep drowning. This match will be play at Milan and Inter Studio, San Siro. Milan have the best home-record in this season what will make the game to much interesting. It is practically that game to decide who will finish in second place and therefore the ability to say this season has not been a total failure.

It has seems very unlikely to happen, Milan have still the chance to take-over Inter in the race to Scudetto while they are only seven points from the top. However, win against Juventus and lose of Inter will make the gap between them to four only, while there are more three games to the end of the season. This game should not be the one to celebrate on or think of foregone conclusion.

Milan are having great winning streak as they won five consecutive matches. Kaka came back from prolonged injuries, he having great commodity to offer and he used well his skills by scoring to penalties and help to win with his good ball-control. Penalty kicks were dispute in the match two weeks ago against Palermo (Milan won 3-0). Inter’s coach Jose Mourinho was complain about unfair judging in Milan’s matches, as he say – the penalties hadn’t be set. “It’s right that Milan speak about a dubious goal, but they should also talk about all the points they have won with unfair penalties,” Mourinho claim.

“We simply cannot do without Kaka,” Coach Carlo Anceltti confessed, after the Brazilian’s recent return to full fitness coincided with a run of seven wins from eight games. “You can see how important he is to the side.” The Ballon d’Or winner has scored four goals in his last three matches and inspired many more. He will be supported also by Inzaghi who even in better situation that Kaka.

Ronaldinho and Marchisio. Midfielders Struggle

Fillipho Inzaghi is like a good wine – got better along the years. He started the run on the incessant goals way about two months ago, as he scored eleven goals in the last eight matches (1.375 per match) and he could be the main reason for Milan standing on second play right now with a possible chance to take Scudetto this year, though it does not seem so genuine to happen. Inzaghi is in the best form we can get after admitted that the last two season – were the best of his career, with his playing outline, we don’t wonder why Ronaldinho kept on the bench in those two months. Although is all in Inter’s hand, while they already lose seven point in the last four game, it critical to Milan to take max-points in the remaining fixtures.

Pato is still struggle on back on his feet with full-fitness as he got injured during Milan’s trainings at Milanelo. His pace could be a very useful asset against the decimated Juve defense. Carlo Ancelotti could stick with the Christmas tree formation and Clarence Seedorf, who has an excellent record against the Bianconeri. Ancelotti knows a thing or two about Juventus, the cause is he was their coach eight years ago.

Following this match against Juvetus, Milan are still have to take over Udinese away, week after that – back to lovely San Siro for a match against Roma and for the classic finito of the league – Fiorentina away. Udinese are still having a chance to take European spot for next season. Roma has been far away Champions League but they not surrender and fight on something in Europe. Fiorentina probably will be the most difficult from all the remaining matches, as they are in fourth place, with an option to catching Juventus for third place.

Drown In the Sea

Less than five weeks ago, there was screenplay who was ment to happen: Inter – Champions

hip, again, Juventus – Second place with Chmapions League and Milan – wobble alongside third and fourth place with European thing, for sure. However, few incomprehensible occasions made that to be changeable as Inter were not on the best shape

, Milan showing wonderful results and playing style, and Juventus – could have done much much better.

On March 21, Juventus destroyed the Roma 4-1 in the Eternal City. World Cup games were came and with it, recess from the league. With the two-week break, Juventus were able to rest a fair amount of players and get ready for the last part of the season. However, it’s wasn’t certainly what would happened, in their first match back from the break, Juventus met Chievo for what would be an easy match but only ferret out 3-3 against them, at home in one of the most entertaining matches of the season. In this game, Chievo were the team to take the lead twice in the game, only for Juventus to storm back and go ahead through Vincenzo Iaquinta with ten minutes remaining. We could not call it one sidely game. When it was 3-2 to Juventus, in 91 minute – Sergio Pellissier got his hat trick and made it 3-3. That was the start of bad period.

The week after the draw ended, with 3-2 lose to Genoa; after the losing another draw 1-1 at home but that is reasonable, they faced Inter to Derby d’Italia match. Two weeks after the draw were ended they both with 2-2 result. There were probably the worst results Juventus knew this latest run. Reggina and Lecce, their opponents, are the two worst sides in Serie A at the moment and occupy the bottom two spots in the Serie A table.

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is the symbol of the club with David Trezeguet and Alessandro Del Piero. However, there are rumors that no. 1 Italy national team goalkeeper, will be out of Juventus this season, after been linked with several teams including Milan. Another problem has been the lack of support for the manager, Claudio Ranieri. The fans jeering him in this period as they perform in matches in half ability with not big passion to win matches, sounds similar- yes, it is the start of the season Milan. Ranieri may not go to another term as Juventus head coach if it goes on as it is now.

Payback Time

It’s would be a sweet revenge to the Rossoneri, who were effectively ruled-out from the race on the title when Juventus smash 4-2 il Diavolo at their home place in Turin. Former Juve star Gianluca Zambrotta was sent off in that game after 65 minutes while Amauri netted twice, but perhaps more importantly Kaka was out injured. That was a one big shame that once but it has will not happen again as Milan are much better now with full motivation to win, unlike at the start of the season, when they played as they were the champions with big dose of indifference.

Injuries and Suspensions

These two teams suffering from big injuries crisis this season, the list including Alessandro Nesta, Kakha Kaladze, Marco Borriello, Christian Abbiati, who are out for the season. While Daniele Bonera and Luca Antonini are not entirely fit and will miss out as well. Geenro Gattuso may be fit to play. A back injury could render goalkeeper Nelson Dida unable to participate, meaning that third-choice ‘keeper Zeljko Kalac could make his first start of the season. It appears that Alexandre Pato may be fit to play and could even start. Mathieu Flamini returned from one-match suspension and may come back to the position he been set by coach Carlo Ancelotti as full-back which he’s doing well. David Beckham is one yellow card from one-match ban after a late challenge last weekend earned him a booking.

From Juventus side, Claudio Marchisio, Albin Ekdal, Momo Sissoko, Hasan Salihamidzic, Dario Knezevic and Christian Molinaro are unfit to participate. However, it appears that Nicola Legrottaglie and Giorgio Chiellini will both be fit to play in central defence. While Olof Mellberg and Pavel Nedved are sure to miss out with suspensions, while Amauri, Chiellini, Tiago, and Zdenek Grygera are all one booking from a ban.

Watch Out

Milan – Filippo Inzaghi – The former Juventus striker has a better scoring rate than players a decade his junior and hopes to continue that streak of 11 goals in eight games against his old teammates and an already nervous Bianconeri defence. Ricardo Kaka – has matched his league goal scoring output from last season with fifteen, but won’t be happy to just stop at that. After suffering from injury problems for a large part of this season, he is now back to full fitness.

Juventus – Amauri Carvalho de Oliveira – will receive most of the defensive attention from Milan, and for good reason. He has scored just twelve goals this term and has created many more for his team-mates. Gianluigi Buffon – While it is not entirely his fault, Buffon has allowed eleven goals in the last five matches. As recently as earlier this season he was called the best goalkeeper in the world, so he needs to start conceding less goals.

Prediction

When Milan faced Inter for the first time this season, and won 1-0 from goal by Ronaldoniho, the fans thought Milan are on their way to win the Scudetto this year, however Milan fall into bad period and did not do well, mostly because of the injuries. Now, Milan back on the good times, with wonderful winning streak. Juventus right now are the Milan of the starts of the season, having bad result and show maybe good game but no effect in the league. I predict Milan’s win unlike the 4-2 earlier this season. Milan 2 – Juventus 1! What is your prediction?
