CHRISTIAN ABBIATI feels a bit ashamed after his side lost 4-0 in the Champions League to Manchester United, but now hopes to make troubles to Inter in Serie A.
Awful and painful night passed over Milan on Wednesday. Old Trafford was singing at loud: “Only One David Beckham” when Becks returned to home. Placards were lifted: “Welcome home Beckham”. But there was also a match.
And at that match, there was only Manchester United. Four goals were scored in the goal of Milan keeper Abbiati: twice Wayne Rooney, once Park Ji-Sung and once Darren Fletcher. Amazingly bad defense day, blew CL hopes.

Fletcher Ready For Milan
“We tried,” Abbiati said after the match in Old Trafford. “At the start of the game we had two chances to score, I don’t know if the game would have changed, but Manchester were good to take advantage of the counter attack.
“However, Milan lost the qualification in the first leg at San Siro. Usually the first 10 minutes we suffer against with almost all the teams, it went like this. Unfortunately also the injuries are increasing.
“Losing 4-0 for a team like Milan is surely not easy to digest, but now we must only think about the league and continue to annoy Inter.
“Surely it will not be easy to forget the 4-0 of tonight and personally I’m a bit ashamed of the result. We must admit when a team plays better like Manchester did.
“The absence of Nesta? We know that Sandro is a great champion, then during the game even Bonera got injured, but the injuries must not be an excuse for this defeat.
“Manchester deserved the qualification. We knew that we should have won 2-0, it was not easy. Alex Ferguson’s lads are great champions and they put us in difficulty like they know how to.”

Abbiati is really not to blame for all four goals. Maybe for the second goal of Rooney. Manchester United are much better than us, and it was seen already in the first leg. Let’s hope to beat Inter in title race or at least finish second…Forza Milan!
Forza Milan! We’re out of CL, out of Coppa Italia. Now we shall win the league. But with yesterday’s performance, we cannot even win the Israeli league.
Forza Milan! Abbiati is a good goalkeeper. He just has super-bad defense when Nesta isn’t there.
i hope we’d catch inter
