Dzeko. 48 hours from now
The striker has been strongly linked with the Rossoneri side in the past weeks but yesterday it appears that Wolfsburg hold him up very tied as he still has a contract with the German champions until 2013 which he will respect.
His desire to play for Milan is not a secret anymore after said it publicly more than once in front of the eyes of the media, however, Wolfsburg are very not interesting to let a player who scored 34 times in 60 appearance for them since 2007, leave.
Galliani refuses to give up on Dzeko but still considered alternatives to Dzeko if his deal falling through, such as Arsenal’s star Emmanuel Adebayor, and Brazil (Silver Ball winner in the Confederation Cup 2009), Luis Fabiano.
“The attacker has spoken very clearly. He wants to come to Milan and Wolfsburg know this very well also through an official letter saying that we are interested in acquiring him,” Galliani told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Edin has a contract until 2011 and it’s up to Wolfsburg to decide whether to sell him or not. They continue to say that they won’t do it, but I will wait before going down alternative routes.” Galliani will wait 48 hours from today until leave the “Dzeko way”.
“In the market, patience has a value. From today, I will wait another 48 hours. Only from Thursday will I eventually take into consideration other hypotheses. We know that it’s difficult to deal with a player who strongly wants to go away, but we are not a club that steals other people’s players.
“It doesn’t depend on the amount. The ‘no’ of Wolfsburg has up until now always been a principal,” he concluded.
