Mateo Musacchio said ‘it was a good challenge’ against Napoli, even though Milan were planning on beating them, and focuses on Torino on Wednesday.
Milan were looking to get back on winning ways as they faced Napoli but had to do so without the unavailable Leo Bonucci and Alessio Romagnoli.
Musacchio and Zapata rose to the occasion and replaced the two starting center backs, and they did a good job at preventing Napoli from scoring, even if they had to rely on Donnarumma to save the entire team in the 92nd minute with a fantastic save.
“We knew that we were facing a tough team with an excellent attack and we all did a great job,” Musacchio told MilanTV. “Now we have to continue to think about the next game. We’ll play against Torino away and that won’t be easy, but we will go there with the only purpose of winning the match because we need it. If it was our best game of 2018? I don’t want to make comparisons, it was a good challenge, but our goal was to win, and there’s certainly been a lot of work from everyone.
“I’ll soon become a father? I’m ready to become a father, it will be an incredible week for me.”
