Milan will be facing Inter just a few days after playing Juve away, while the Napoli game has been moved to the afternoon.

The tragic news of Davide Astori’s death caused the postponement of March 3rd’s Derby della Madonnina and today the Lega has announced the new date for it.

After the Rossoneri had crushed out of the Europa League, losing 5-1 on aggregate to Arsenal, the task of finding a date became simpler and it has been decided to play it on April 4, at 18:30 CET (Italian time).

The rules state that the game had to be played within 15 days of the date of postponement or in the first possible pate, and so Inter chose to reject Milan’s proposals of having the game played on April 25 or May 1st. Instead, the Diavolo will have to play Inter four days after playing Juventus away.

The Lega has also decided to change the kickoff time of Milan-Napoli, which will be played on April 15. The original time was 20:45 CET but it will be played in the afternoon, 15:00 CET at San Siro.

  1. Uhm…why could Inter decide when the game should be played? Or is it because Inter didn’t OK our proposal which means that the game had to be played within 15 days of the postponement, and if they did OK it we could’ve played on oneof the dates we proposed? Then I wonder why the game between Roma and Samp got postponed for like half a season…
So we’ll play Juve, Inter and then Napoli, in the span of seven days? Sweet.

    • It’s all up to a bunch of incompetent people in the Lega so we shouldn’t be surprised. These are the same people who have watched Italian football decline so much doing almost nothing useful.
But the games aren’t played in a seven days space. We play Juve and 4 days later we meet Inter, then there are 11 days before we play Napoli.
