Milan doctor Stefano Mazzoni provided the weekly update on the injured players and it is mostly good news.
Gennaro Gattuso is getting ready for his first match as coach, as the Rossoneri play on Sunday away against Benevento, who have lost 14 out of 14 in Serie A so far.
Doctor Mazzoni spoke to MilanTV today to give the regular update on the situation of the recovering and injured players, revealing that Lucas Biglia is back available. The Argentine midfielder, who will try to get back to form with Gattuso now in charge, missed the Torino game because of a flu.
Mazzoni also said that Davide Calabria and Ignazio Abate have both resumed training after recovering from their respective injuries, while Fabio Borini, on the other hand, picked up an ankle injury and will be monitored on a daily basis to see if he can make it in the squad to play Benevento.
Meanwhile, Hakan Çalhanoğlu – another player who needs to turn things around – felt something was wrong with his calf muscle during today’s training, and in 48 hours the severity will be known.
