Mati Fernandez, Andrea Bertolacci and Juraj Kucka are expected to form the midfield against Genoa, Gianluca Lapadula will start in the place of the suspended Carlos Bacca.

The Rossoneri are looking to get back to winning ways after the last-second loss to Juventus last week and they play Genoa at San Siro on Saturday at 20:45 CET.

Between suspensions and injuries, coach Vincenzo Montella has a lot of absences but it seems that he’s decided on his XI for tomorrow.

As reported by Sky Italia, and others, Montella is going to give Matias Fernandez the nod and play him in midfield from the first minute. Peppe Di Stefano claims that when in possession, Mati will be playing in an advanced position, right behind Gianluca Lapadula, who’ll play in the place of the banned Carlos Bacca, with Gerard Deulofeu and Lucas Ocampos on the flanks.

Manuel Locatelli will be on the bench with Andrea Bertolacci playing the regista role, assisted by Juraj Kucka. Romagnoli is suspended so the defense is set to be De Sciglio-Zapata-Paletta-Vangioni.

AC Milan (4-3-3) – Vincenzo Montella (Probable –
Gianluigi Donnarumma; Mattia De Sciglio, Cristian Zapata, Gabriel Paletta, Leonel Vangioni; Juraj Kucka, Andrea Bertolacci, Mati Fernandez; Gerard Deulofeu, Gianluca Lapadula, Lucas Ocampos.

  1. please let Honda play the role of suso,I prefer him to ocampos, cos am so sure he has a lot to prove…watching the play Honda is a better player than ocampos

  2. I have problem with our first choice fullbacks Abate and De Sciglio both lack attacking skills for a modern fullback and you might think that’s ok as long they can defend but its not. You oath to be creative and able to drive forward with comfort. Calabria seems much ideal . Been ages since De Sciglio last looked convincing to me.
