MILAN HAVE been drawn in Group C of the Champions League with Zenit, Anderlecht and Malaga.

Milan have learned their Champions League fate today as the group stage draw was held in Monaco. The Rossoneri have been drawn to Group C with FC Zenit St. Petersburg, R.S.C. Anderlecht and Malaga CF.

Not an easy group for Milan but not so hard either as Milan are clearly the favourites to qualify to the eight-final of the Champions League as they hope to replicate last year’s achievements in the competition.

Bojan: “Milan move another step forward”

Milan were in Pot 1 along with Chelsea, Barcelona, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Arsenal and Porto drawn. The Rossoneri have been drawn to Group C along with Russian champions Zenit which is coached by Luciano Spalletti, Belgian champions Anderlecht and the Spanish side Malaga.

Milan have in fact never faced Malaga before while it’ll be interested to see how Milan cope with the two champions of this group. The other groups are interesting too: Juventus have been drawn with reigning Champions Chelsea, Shakhtar Donetsk and Nordsjaelland. Group of Death is a great one as it features the champions of Spain, England, Holland and Germany: Real Madrid, Man City, Ajax and Dortmund.

Winning the Champions League is not a realistic goal for Massimiliano Allegri’s boys, however Europe’s elite surprise is full of surprises and Milan have certainly got a more convenient group this time.
