UPDATE: Milan have confirmed that Pato is suffering from an injury to his right adductor muscle in his left leg. More medical tests are planned for tomorrow. The recovery spell is still unknown.
ALEXANDRE PATO could be injured again after complaining about pains during training today.
Sulley Muntari, Rodney Strasser and Didac Vila are already long-term injury problems for Milan but Alexandre Pato could join the treatment table after complaining about pains and he’s being checked-up.
Pato had his muscles rebalanced during pre-season and said that this year will be his golden season but things are evidently already going wrong for the Brazilian as he could face some time in the sidelines.
Report: Milan close to signing Zé Eduardo
Official: Pazzini joins Milan, Cassano goes to Inter
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, at these very minutes, Milan’s medical staff is checking Pato’s situation and Milan will release a former press release later today on Alexandre’s condition. Pato spent the majority of the last season out with an injury and he barely featured due to his many physical set becks.
Ignazio Abate meanwhile is expected to recover in time for the Sampdoria match on Sunday. Giampaolo Pazzini is also ready to play while Milan are close to signing Genoa’s Ze Eduardo on loan (without a trial).

LOL don’t you remember what the medical team told Boatengs girl friend, that sex doesn’t cause injuries
August 22nd, 2012 on 10:31 pm
@nick, u are d hypocrite. Are u really a fan of the club? Is this d time to be pitying a player when even with him we are not sure of success. ‘Give him time, its not his fault, etc’. Is it my fault?
This is how u guyz behave like u are from anoda planet. Its pple lyk u dat want Milan to buy an injured Rossi when we have a squad full of technically injured players.
Patos future is not in Milan. Simple!
Those of u blaming Allegri, how many times did Ibra, Thiago Silva, Nocerino, cASSano, Van bommel, Emmanuelson, Antonini, Abate, El sharaway, injure in his two years in charge.
August 22nd, 2012 on 11:07 pm
You must work at Milanello to know exactly what is wrong with Pato, because if u dont work at Milanello then stfu!
August 22nd, 2012 on 10:38 pm
Im done complaining about MilanLab.. Its obvious that Pato is the problem here… Sad…
August 22nd, 2012 on 10:40 pm
will u all stop all dis allegri bashing!!!!, is pato the only one allegri is training? D guy is injury prone. Is allegri the one training kaka, wilshere, diary, eduardo? We all know of the then v.persie so take ur hate else where.
August 22nd, 2012 on 10:56 pm
Allegri’s Milan is funny comparing to Annceloti’s.When l remember Pirlo,Seedorf and Kaka in midfield by my opinion the strongest trio that l ever saw,Gattuso and Ambrosini were doing the dirty job and our defence was a.w.f.u.ly strong. We had Cafu,Nesta and Maldini, and Serginho player that would cost at least 50M today was benchwarmer back then.We had Dida on goal superb GK.Attack was special story Sheve and Inzhagi l don’t know what to say for them.Sheva was complete foward,he had speed ,technique, free kicks, shoot with both legs, very agile and good in air,and Inzhagi is Inzhagi the best no.9 alongside Raul of all time.
August 22nd, 2012 on 11:24 pm
Milan have signed ze eduardo
August 22nd, 2012 on 11:33 pm
@nick, i just remembered u work there.
August 22nd, 2012 on 11:47 pm
One thing I can’t understand is – how can Pato be fit for each of Brazil games, but unable to manage even a half for Milan without getting injured (at best it’s injury once a week, during training)
August 22nd, 2012 on 11:59 pm
Omg…so Ze Eduardo will join as a back-up because of his injury…this is why Milan is starting to FILL UP with so many average players. We get an injured player, and act “fast” on the market and sign a new mediocre one, I mean, Ze Eduardo is awful, he didn’t even score last season, but of course as soon as Genoa offers us something we just can’t turn them down. My God, why don’t you play a primavera player instead? Let Ganz get his shot instead of this player…
August 23rd, 2012 on 12:03 am
rossoneri faithful.b 4 d end of dis wk dey wil b smiles on milan faces.just blive wit lesser assumption bcos it wont help
August 23rd, 2012 on 12:08 am
WHO IN THE BLUE HELL is this brazilian nobody? For the love of god galliani not because he’s Brazilian means he’s good!!!!! I’m so very ashamed at what we’ve become…this is just utterly depressing. This is to some up what we’ve done in this mercato…
1. Weakened our team significantly by selling our best striker and defender without even the slightest hint of replacing them adequately. Zapata’s our best hope right now at CB and Pazzini’s a good striker..not great but capable of a 15 goal season.
2. Strengthened our rivals by giving them cassano and basically paying for a new signing of their choosing(gargano)
3. Rolled the dice on Pato leading us to glory this season only for him to get injured again before the season starts…
4. Continue to neglect the fact we don’t have a decent DM and that our left back position is a laughing stock.
5. Bought two goalkeepers wasting one of our eu spot on one who’s going to be a third choice goalkeeper!!!!!! Gabriel has a bright future ahead of him but there were more serious issues to be addressed….
I’m not a bandwagon fan…i’ve been loyal to Milan ever since i’ve been a fan of football(some 10 -12 years now) but this…this is just unbelievable…and what they suppose Kaka coming on deadline day is supposed to make up for all that the team’s lost? This is 30 year old Kaka…still a class player…but not Ballon D’or Kaka of years gone…he can only do so much….
August 23rd, 2012 on 11:19 am
All great points man, well said. I would add
6) Got rid of Pirlo
7) Got rid of Nesta and Gattuso
8) Take Ganz to the CL instead of Inzaghi
9) Hmmm I wonder who was behind all those things?
10) And now he wants DeJong… Just how many bruisers do we need in the middle of the park.
When are Milan going to wake up and realize ALLEGRI NEEDS TO GO ASAP
August 23rd, 2012 on 12:18 am
look at wat happend in just 5 years.
Abate ambro nocerino monty pato robinho and urby are the only ones left worthy of the milan shirt CONSIDERING their respective positions especially if u compare this squad to the one present five years ago.
But all the same milan can try to close the gap in quality with heart and desire.alot more unity and teamwork.coz now u cant rely on individuals so everyone has to do a double shift.and hard work
August 23rd, 2012 on 12:19 am
Forza Pato Lmao
August 23rd, 2012 on 12:25 am
I said it here that we can’t build our team on pato…and btw why must people here be saying give ze eduardo a chance?is milan a training centre? We have fallen so low to be taking untalented useless players that can’t even make their first team. How many more junks do we still expect from this deluded disillusioned and visionless manegement? This is so sad and is nonsense absolute nonsense…
August 23rd, 2012 on 12:40 am
pessimists. pessimists everywhere. as for me, i didn’t start supporting Milan because they won lots of trophies, or because they had players like maldini, sheva and kaka, or because they spent buttloads of money on players. therefore, i don’t care if we sign 20 ze eduardo’s or 30 messis, i will still have faith in the club and support them. i believe this team can do well, i believe the management knows what they are doing, and i believe that even ze eduardo can do well in Milan, and as long as Pato is part of Milan, i believe that he can overcome his injury problems. i may be wrong, but having faith in the team and players is part of being a fan.
August 23rd, 2012 on 1:07 am
I agree with you, but the thing is, why sign him when he has not proved anything, i mean brazil are mocking us with this transfer.
We might as well have given the chance to Ganz, what happened with us wanting to give our youth a shot?
Sure De Sciglio, I’m very happy for him, and to some extent Valoti. But this is a great opportunity to let Ganz play. Pato will be out for around 3-4 weeks, so it’s better to look in our own ranks than sign someone for the full season, that’s what bugs me.
August 23rd, 2012 on 1:49 am
He may not have been Pato’s replacement, but our 5th striker. Anyway, we have to wait and see. If we’re going to start playing 4-3-3 (Allegri has been trying it out in training) then we’ll need 6 forwards at the start of the season (as replacements). And actually, Ganz doesn’t seem to be that special. He may simply not be good enough.
August 23rd, 2012 on 12:43 am
Didn’t think pato was gonna recover anyway . This mercato should just end already before we get gravquist or more genoa rejects . I am so dissapointed wit this . Just one midfielder a creative one . Is dat too much to ask
August 23rd, 2012 on 1:19 am
Milan need to sell Pato or he needs to retire. He is starting to remind me of Van Basten always injured.
August 23rd, 2012 on 11:35 am

August 23rd, 2012 on 12:48 pm
guys how long did you expect pirlo, nesta, gattuso, inzaghi, and seedorf to keep playing for milan, foever? They were old and couldn’t keep up with the pace of the game especially in the ucl. Would you expect them to beat barcelona or arsenal or chelsea? We need to move on. Kaka is 30 already, and madrid are looking to move on, and we still living in the past where kaka is the hero that’s why we are after him. We wasted tons of money on the old dead stars in the past, they are the reason we are in this mess in the first place; we are not a ‘training center’ like someone said, we have to try out all these young mediocore players, until we get somebody. Like yohan cruyff said ‘stars are not bought, they are created’. What will we then say if ze turns into a star like kaka? And we shouldn’t lose hope in pato, what if we sell him and he becomes a star for another team and before we know it we have the whole pirlo situation again. We have invested a lot in him and shoudn’t lose hope. Allegri needs to be more open minded, i believe we have the players to make us great agian but we don’t know how to use them. Obviousely boateng is not a trequatesta, he should play in midfield and maybe try robinho or ses as trequatesta since they do have creative qualities. And instead of playing a defender in midfield, he should try playing robinho or ses so that we can be more attacking than defensive especially in the ucl. And the truth remains, we need creativity in midfield, allegri has to stop being such a fan of tough tackling, physical midfeild. This is milan, and fliar is our culture, we don’t have to go out and buy big money players to get fliar, even the ones we have can still give us fliar. The reason we are able to get the best out of nocerino and juve could’nt is because people are not not machines, just because a player costs less and is mediocore, it does’nt mean he won’t become a star. It happened like that with pirlo and seedorf, and now nocerino and boateng.
August 23rd, 2012 on 6:03 pm
Milans traing regime isnt right for pato, they should know this already, alot of players for example in the NFL train diffrent but stil acchive their maximum in the field as players. The milan staff must be stupid, they need to train him diffrent, he can’t be apart of allegris training regime, since it do not suit his body.
Stupid people at milan atm, including the coach.
Lets hope gilliani figures this out.
