SILVIO BERLUSCONI could decide to increase Milan’s incredibly low transfer budget next Sunday.

Milan have spent €4.9 million in total for new players this summer, and the fans are very far from happy with the current squad which would struggle greatly to compete with the teams in Italy, let alone in Europe.

The Rossoneri know it’d be tough to win something next year and even Massimo Ambrosini admitted that this squad is a few levels below the squads of Europe’s elite teams. Milan are waiting for more transfers.

El Shaarawy: “Happy to have made it to the Azzurri”

But the transfer budget is very low and it’d be tough for Milan to even sign a player in the caliber of Alessandro Matri, who is not exactly a top striker. According to today’s La Gazzetta dello Sport, Adriano Galliani and Silvio Berlusconi will meet on Sunday after the Trofeo Berlusconi to discuss the market.

Galliani needs more money from Berlusconi, who has already made it clear that in this economy, Milan are unable to spend a lot, in order to make moves at the end of the summer and make the squad more competitive. The two will also talk about Kaka of Real Madrid. Berlusconi wants him, but the costs at the moment are beyond Milan’s limits. But if extra budget will be approved, Milan may be able to sign Kaka.

The last week of the market is the time of Adriano Galliani but even Uncle Fester can’t pull deals with no money. On Sunday evening there could be an important meeting regarding Milan’s 2012/2013 season.
