FILIPPO INZAGHI feels it’s strange to be far from Milanello on this day, and wishes Milan good luck.

Milan start the new 2012/2013 season today – Monday, and the players are already at Milanello. For the first time in years, Alessandro Nesta, Rino Gattuso, Clarence Seedorf and Pippo Inzaghi are not there.

Inzaghi and co. decided to leave after the last season and this has significantly decreased the average squad age. Filippo is currently deciding what to do in the future, but he wishes Milan good luck next year.

“Everytime I returned to Milanello for the first day of training was a special moment…seeing all the fans outside the gates cheering us on always gave me such a boost…” Inzaghi wrote on Milan’s official website. “It is a strange feeling not being there after 11 years and I am still trying to get used to the sensation.

“I really just wanted to wish everybody at Milan good luck and especially to all my former team mates who are about to start a new season…Forza Milan…Pippo.” Inzaghi joined Milan from Juventus in 2001.
