STEPHAN EL SHAARAWY wants to play more next season and even eyes a call from Cesare Prandelli.

Now that it’s been made clear that El Shaarawy will not move from Milan this summer – although ‘everything is possible’ like Galliani says in regards to the transfer market – the player can set his goals.

El Shaarawy finished the last season which was his debut with a Milan jersey with 28 appearances and four goals. The youngster hopes next season Milan will win the Scudetto and he’ll be playing even more.

Galliani: “No more signings – the mercato is closed”
Agent: “El Shaarawy’s destiny is in his own feet”

“Milan had a great season in the league. We started strong and we lost some points on the road. Juventus won the Scudetto but we’ll try again next year,” El Shaarawy said.”We were paying for the facts that we played every three days and towards the end we got tired. We lost many points and Juve surpassed us.

“Milan have to count on the players that are good and who also deserve to play. We have players that came from the youth department like Abate and Antonini. I hope to get more playing time next season. Last season I got a lot of playing time and got my debut in the Champions League. I hope that [Italy boss Cesare] Prandelli will call me up for the national team as soon as possible. I really hope that it will happen.”

El Shaarawy at many times showed some of his great potential and Milan are certainly counting on him for the future and even told him he’d need to heir Ricardo Kaka. “It’s satisfying to see El Shaarawy at Milan. He is a fan of Milan and he has made his dream come true,” El Shaarawy’s agent Roberto La Florio said.

“If young players need more playing time? In our league it’s hard to let youngsters play. If Milan’s transfer market is closed? [CEO Adriano] Galliani has made us used to seeing last-minute transfers in August. Galliani did say that the transfer market is closed, but in my opinion, Milan could still make some signings.

El Shaarawy’s best friend at Milan is no other than Luca Antonini. The two may have an age difference between them as one is turning 20 and the other one 30, but they seem to find a mutual language.

“El Shaarawy will stay at Milanello. I will put chains on him,” Antonini told the press. “El Shaarawy is young, intelligent and he has a great future ahead of him. Last season El Shaarawy did very well and I believe that this season will be his season. I have a great relationship with El Shaarawy. I’m like a big brother to him.

“Last season I tried to educate El Shaarawy as to how a Milan player should behave. He understood it and immediately adapted. El Shaarawy didn’t have a driver’s license either, and since we live in the same building, I drove him to where we had to go,” Antonini added. “El Shaarawy and I decided to choose a new room at [Milan's training ground] Milanello and we chose the one that Gennaro Gattuso used to have.”

El Shaarawy will have a lot of time to impress Coach Massimiliano Allegri during pre-season since Pato will be with Brazil’s Olympics squad and Cassano and perhaps Ibrahimovic will still be on vacation.
