THE 23rd week of Serie A has passed; here are the results of all the games and the standings.
The weather proved to be a problem also in Week 23 as two games had to be postponed: the clash between Parma and Fiorentina and the game that would see Bologna hosting Juventus – both on Sunday.
The first fixture of this week took place already on Thursday when Lazio hosted Cesena. The relegation zone side were 2-0 up, but Edy Reja’s men made an impressive comeback to win 3-2 at the Olimpico.

Triple injury boost for Milan
Di Natale extended the gap from the banned Ibrahimovic in the race for the capocannoniere title as he scored against Milan (his 10th of his career), but the Rossoneri fought back to win thanks to the substitute Maxi Lopez who scored and assisted the winner. On Saturday night, Cagliari defeated Palermo in Sardinia.
Novara have 16 points – 6 of them earned against Inter as on Week 23, Novara managed to beat the Nerazzurri for the 2nd time of the season, when Atalanta drew with Lecce and Catania humiliated Genoa.
Napoli defeated visitors Chievo 2-0 thanks to goals from Britos and Edinson Cavani, when Siena stunned Luis Enrique’s Roma at Stadio Artemio Franchi – Montepaschi Arena – as Calaiò’s penalty won the game.

Milan for skudetto

Its that time of the year where everyone wants to become a coach/manager and start fielding his imaginary XI and predictions beyond control making the rounds. I for one would like to remain calm and watch the game minute by minute and will be happy with any result because it’s good football which is what i want to win.Milan and Arsenal have their own problems but that should not deter the motivation of the playing XI on the field of play.Give it your best shot but before that i say this game is of Tacticians having seen Allegri do the worst with his available resources and Wenger taking risks with his younger prodigy’s ,this game will be won by the ones with a strong mental approach.Milan if they play as a team will be a safe bet but if they go on their “PLAY TO IBRA” strategy might prove fatal. Put your best possible XI and approach the game as a TEAM.I personally would prefer “ABATE MEXES NESTA MESBAH donning the defense, TSILVA in the holding role with NOCERINO & KEVIN besides him. that way we play 5 solid defenders while SES PATO & MAXI go for the kill. with support from Kevin & Nocerino. Give SES a free role .Let him play as he wants lurking around the opponents box. Maxi & Pato firing left right and occasionally from the center.Let Ibra Robinho/Urby & Ambro be the subs. With the team i put up we have speed strength and stamina which is vital for a CL game and that too against Arsenal who have lightning speed on their flanks with a quality finisher. Best of Luck!!!!!!!!!!

This is how I want the table to look like after the season ends:
1)Milan
2)Udinese
3)Juventus
4)Lazio
5)Napoli
6)Roma
7)Inter
We’ll have 3 teams capable of winning the europa league (4 if Juventus get kicked out in the group stages or in the qualifying rounds) and 2/3 teams that can go far in the CL. Perfect for Italian football.

i think juventus will be 2nd place and udinese will be 3rd.. this juventus team is 2x stronger than last year and definitely stronger than udinese…. hopefully if udinese is in the top 3 they will qualify for the cl… cause it was really unlucky that they met arsenal in the qualifying rounds….. and lets hope juve finally loses a game and slips up a lot of games with draws… its the only way milan can win the scudetto imho..
