STEPHAN EL SHAARAWY is in great form and played a key part in Milan’s win, along with Maxi Lopez.
With Zlatan Ibrahimovic suspended, and Antonio Cassano and Alexandre Pato both out of action, Coach Massimiliano Allegri decided to give El Shaarawy the nod with Robinho against Udinese on Saturday.
El Shaarawy was a quiet and failed to impress for most of the game, like all of Milan, but proved vital after the Argentine Maxi Lopez entered, as he scored the winning goal in the 85′ minute and gave Milan 3 points.
Triple injury boost for Milan
Highlights: Udinese 1-2 Milan
“I always try to give my all when I get on the pitch,” El Shaarawy told Milan’s site. “We played a really good game and it was anything but easy against Udinese who have strong legs and real quality. With a lot of heart and determination we turned the game around. I’ve scored twice in the league, both against Udinese.
“I’m happy for the goal and for the win. Maxi Lopez is working for the team. He gives us quality and self-sacrifice. It was a real job that we did here.” El Shaarawy has scored 4 goals in all competitions so far.
The star of the night was definitely Maxi. The 27-year-old came off the bench for Antonio Nocerino who did not have a good game, and pretty much won the game with a goal and an assist. “I’m not just content, I’m really happy because scoring for this team has always been my dream,” Lopez told the Milan Channel.
“This win is important because it gives the team the confidence to push forward. We have to continue to find wind and to get the three points one game at a time. El Shaarawy is young but he’s growing a lot. This group is strong. Everyone gives their all when they get on the pitch.” After a few cameo appearances, the former Catania man who is on loan at Milan, was given enough time to show what he is capable of doing.

that was a great run by shaarawy to elude his marker and a great finish too. I hope Galliani can buy him outright this summer.
Maxi was great. With our current midfield setup and other team’s defensive tactics we must always play with a target man up front or we will be hopeless. Maxi ought to start whenever Zlatan is unavailable.

Milan really made my weekend. am really happy about the return of Pato, Sandro and Boa against Arsenal, i know they would come in handy. i wud also love to see SES play behind Ibra and Pato.
February 12th, 2012 on 9:11 pm
The reason why Maxi did not start was that he was lacking fitness. He did not play much for Catania. So it will take time.
February 12th, 2012 on 11:24 pm
TBH i wasnt expecting this result based on how we played the 1st half but its wins like these (n Lecce’s) get trophies. now we can approach the upcoming gms with confidence. gr8 job Maxi, SES n Ambro! forzaMILAN

Guys inter lost to novara at san siro. Hahahahaha.
February 13th, 2012 on 2:33 am
One thing I noticed about Robinho is he is definitely better playing out wide… he provides more width. People are mad at him right now.. but again, he improved when the formation was modified.
February 13th, 2012 on 5:13 am
thats because Robinho is naturally a winger.we would have been better with a 4-3-3 formation or 4-2-3-1
February 13th, 2012 on 12:00 pm
Forza milan maxi and young pharoah ard d men now can u see dat it is not gud to abuse players.wen maxi came to milan people were abusing him. So my fellow let us support our players.

February 13th, 2012 on 2:18 pm
Why don’t you give some credit to Emanuelson that was unbeliveble pass.
February 13th, 2012 on 7:46 pm
sadly he has had many brilliant moments this season that have gone unnoticed by many people. i really like him and hope he stays after this season

If Ibra plays against Arsenal; I don’t think the result will be positive. Allegri go with SES PATO & MAXI in the front line. Nocerino & Kevin behind them, with TSilva playing the DM ,while Mexes Nesta Abate & Mesbah don the defense, Lets see the difference, Arsenal is young team with lots of speed, Expect a match up between Abate & Theo or Mesbah & Oxdale. Song & Kevin should be fun, If Ibra plays then Vermaelen would hold him with ease.its better Maxi & Pato attack from the sides while SES does it around the box, give the boy a free role ,let him do what pleases him,
February 13th, 2012 on 11:48 pm
surprised to see so many thumbs up on this but I agree also

——Ibra-Pato
and should chaining roles during the match!!Also i ‘ m’ happy to see Boa playing again!!
February 13th, 2012 on 8:28 pm
Pato hasn’t started a game in over a month becaues of injury and people want to throw him in right away? Ibra must start against Arsenal. He’s our best attacking player.
Guys, Natali and Montolivo are said to be joining Milan in the summer. Natali is a strong CB… often Fiorentina’s best CB… more depth is nice. He would push Bonera out.
February 13th, 2012 on 9:23 pm
I’m so happy that Maxi Lopez started great and once again awesome goal from El Shaarawy. Forza Milan!
February 13th, 2012 on 9:24 pm
Start with Ibra/Pato and Shaarawy behind the strikers with Noce/KPB in midfield and Mesbah as left-back, and hopefully we win 3-O! Forza Milan!
February 13th, 2012 on 10:20 pm
433, is da way to go. robinho ibra pato emanuelson nocerino boateng mesbah t.silva nesta abate abiati i believe dis is da lineup dat would be a winner, allegri please man use dis. seriously. Mvb is to slow, seedorf wont even touch the ball, ambro well dont wanna say. Bonera n antonini should be at home. Watchin tv. Lol. But we all know allegri. Predictable. No clue. Defennsive, i bet we will play mvb, seedorf n ambro at the same time, den we really r in trouble.
February 13th, 2012 on 10:59 pm
Predictable? No clue? Defensive? Really? And no, we’re not going to pl*ay MVB, seedorf and ambro at the same time. Nocerino and Boateng will start. YOu need a midfield anchor by the way. Leave that to MVB as he steps up for these matches.
Stop this allegri bashing please. Its not based on truth.
February 13th, 2012 on 11:01 pm
Midfield Options: Nocerino-Van Bommel-Emanuelson or Nocerino-Van Bommel-Boateng
These are balanced midfields. And Allegri will likely employ one or the other from what I hear.
February 13th, 2012 on 11:17 pm
There’re rumours around that Milan and Bayern Munich are linked with Benedikt Howedes, 23, CB. He plays in a German team, forgot which one.
February 14th, 2012 on 2:38 am
Howedes plays for Schalke and he is very good. Both Howedes and Matt Hummels are Germany’s best CB!Howedes would be a GREAT signing for Milan if it happens!
February 14th, 2012 on 5:17 am
i also heard that mamadou sakho is a target
February 13th, 2012 on 11:52 pm

its a rumour, as far as I know, it’s not been confirmed. i hope its true though, especially if nesta/yepes decides to retire
February 14th, 2012 on 2:05 am
Milan need quality players n we shd sack players like bonera, antonini, ambrosini, zambrota, gatuso, seedorf n yepes.we need fresh blood in our team.
February 14th, 2012 on 2:18 am
Milan has become so weak that when we beat udinese its a big news come on fellow fans on this blog we are milan n we shd be happy when we are able to beat arsenal, man u,barca n real madrid then I know we are good.
February 14th, 2012 on 2:35 am
Milan has become so weak? We are weak? Udinese isn’t a weak team. They had bad luck against Arsenal… if Di Natale could have finished in England… it would be a different story. Udinese isn’t some pushover. They never have been frankly.
February 14th, 2012 on 2:36 am
great job SES n MAXI, tnk god boa, pato,… R bak. Against arsenal we need a strong squad. Probable formation. Abbia-abate-mexes-silva-mesbah-emmanuelson-mvb-nocerino-prince-pato-ibra. sub: amelia-nesta-antonini-ambro-robinho-maxi-ses

February 14th, 2012 on 4:47 pm
For the game tomorrow I just want to say that if Allegri starts with a midfield that looks something like this Noc/Urby, Mvb, Ambro and Seedorf in the CAM postion we are going to lose guarnteed! Thats 3/4 of the midfield all over the age of 32 against a very young Arsenal side. I would totally be pissed if Allegri goes for this lineup! If Seedorf plays he should only play in the LM postion and not in the CAM position cos he sucks ass! there. My lineup would be as follows..
—————-Abbiati—————–
Abate—–Nesta——-T.Silva—–Mesbah
—————–Mvb——————–
——Kpb—————-Noc/Seedorf—-
—————–SES——————–
——-Pato/Binho—–Ibra————–
This formation we will not lose and will defo score goals guarnteed!!
February 14th, 2012 on 7:35 pm
Allegri says KPB and Pato will be on the bench tomorrow. we’ll probably play the same midfield as against udinese, only with MVB playing in ambro’s role.
