STEPHAN EL SHAARAWY is in great form and played a key part in Milan’s win, along with Maxi Lopez.

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic suspended, and Antonio Cassano and Alexandre Pato both out of action, Coach Massimiliano Allegri decided to give El Shaarawy the nod with Robinho against Udinese on Saturday.

El Shaarawy was a quiet and failed to impress for most of the game, like all of Milan, but proved vital after the Argentine Maxi Lopez entered, as he scored the winning goal in the 85′ minute and gave Milan 3 points.

Highlights: Udinese 1-2 Milan

“I always try to give my all when I get on the pitch,” El Shaarawy told Milan’s site. “We played a really good game and it was anything but easy against Udinese who have strong legs and real quality. With a lot of heart and determination we turned the game around. I’ve scored twice in the league, both against Udinese.

“I’m happy for the goal and for the win. Maxi Lopez is working for the team. He gives us quality and self-sacrifice. It was a real job that we did here.” El Shaarawy has scored 4 goals in all competitions so far.

The star of the night was definitely Maxi. The 27-year-old came off the bench for Antonio Nocerino who did not have a good game, and pretty much won the game with a goal and an assist. “I’m not just content, I’m really happy because scoring for this team has always been my dream,” Lopez told the Milan Channel.

“This win is important because it gives the team the confidence to push forward. We have to continue to find wind and to get the three points one game at a time. El Shaarawy is young but he’s growing a lot. This group is strong. Everyone gives their all when they get on the pitch.” After a few cameo appearances, the former Catania man who is on loan at Milan, was given enough time to show what he is capable of doing.
