THE GAME was lively but produced very little chances and when Milan and Napoli had chances they couldn’t finish as the game ended in a disappointing draw. Zlatan Ibrahimovic saw a red card in the 64′ minute for slapping Napoli’s Salvatore Aronica. Both sides looked bad and the spoils were shared.

February 5th, 2012 on 8:50 pm
Binho does it again . Sigh y do we have such injuries .
February 5th, 2012 on 8:55 pm
Dreadful stuff .abate got owned by zuniga . Napoli play a physical game .
February 5th, 2012 on 8:57 pm
What happened to abate, he isnt playing well..
February 5th, 2012 on 9:10 pm
I know we are extremely unlucky with injuries at the moment but the players who are out there on the pitch don’t deserve to wear the Milan shirt. The players look so uninterested in the match, when they should be playing twice as hard knowing that we have 9 or more players out injured and will be coming back into the team. We need players who give 110% for the 90 minutes, not coming in and out of the game. Binho was absent again (his shooting is getting worse), Seedorf isn’t a starter any more. He is a substitute at most, Antonini is not a good left back. Nocerino can’t run the whole midfield on his own and like Ibrahimovic (who should be in attack – not midfield) they both need support from their team mates. We need a working formation for the players we have left available. Its another 2 points dropped in the title race
February 5th, 2012 on 9:15 pm
to ibra,i say:GOOD RIDDANCE.he shd consider his match bans as rest n milan will beat udinese n juve witout him.forza milan.
February 5th, 2012 on 9:23 pm
Guess I am tired of being the bad guy here ,My opinion actually counts for nothing but as a good fan of the sport I do envy the way Fans around treat a win over a small club in Serie A ,all along i was never happy with Allegri’s Milan they don’t know how to win ugly and lose beautifully. He is a coward totally ignorant of the team except Ibra and Ibra is a fool of the highest order and Allegri is his mentor. Its not the players at fault, they do what they are asked to do.It’s the coach who has no ideas and afraid to come up with courage.Milan if need to be competent and spectacular need a well rounded coach. just because Allegri won Serie A last season and Seedorf Gatz Ambro are considered legends doesn’t mean they can stay here forever.Milan can’t beat Arsenal I bet both my balls.
February 5th, 2012 on 9:24 pm
Here is my summation of the game.
A point was better(given that Juve,Udinese and Inter didnt capitalize). It would have been worst if we had lost.
Is Allegri dump?Hell no.Most fans here watch football but in the same vain fail to read and study the game. With a man down, you dont make rash decisions(when it had to do with a striker or midfielder)
Ambrosini instead of SES?Total support! The Napoli coach immediately removed a defender for an attack minded player, which means we have no option than to try and defend as much as possible(Abbiati got injured and also other teams were not doing good)Lets i forget, some here were complaining about the sub made against Lazio(who can please the world)
Robinho better than Pato?I ask, what is the use of endless running and not more than one shot on goal?(some call it build up play)How many games has Robinho play ever since Pato got injured? How many goals has he scored? How many has he missed(especially from two metres)Is he really better than Pato?
Ibra?Topic for another day
February 5th, 2012 on 9:27 pm
Several weeks ahead will be a tough match for Milan because Ibra get a red card and must be suspended. What will happen to Milan without Ibra?
February 5th, 2012 on 9:28 pm
I can never sell pato and keep robinho. Pato finishes with class and goal sense. D problem is just d injuries of late. Robinho need 2 be sold at d end of d season, bcos he sees football as fun and not a serious issue.
February 5th, 2012 on 9:37 pm
Allegri is not stupid(if you think he is i challenge you to name two quality coaches that replace.Did i hear someone say Ranieri or AVB)
I really dont envy him right now(no thanks to injuries and Galliani who is so blind to see that we dont have midfielders)
If we loose the scudetto(though not losing hope as its too early)i will hold Galliani responsible.
By the way we should sell Milan to some oil Billionaires rather than giving unneccesary heart ache.
February 5th, 2012 on 9:43 pm
Hang in there guys… things will get better. We need to have confidence in our coach and team. They will prevail through this and gain back the winning spirit.
No selling team to some oil billionaires who have no heart for this team.
February 5th, 2012 on 9:47 pm
A big joke
Allegri doesn’t know how to make decisions however claims are that he makes rash decision’s.It’s not Ibra’s sending off in question. It’s the strategy and formation he can come up with the available players. How about instilling confidence in players and motivating them meaning trying to get the best out of his players.Just submit a list of players to go on the field where Ibra is a must and then wait for luck or bad performance from other teams, Any doubt relating to Allegri’s competency will be answered by pointing out that last year we won the Serie A under him, doesn’t that also mean we have won CL with Seedorf Gattuso Ambro so its ok for all of them to be in Milan forever.Wise up guys!!! If you consider Milan player vs player of any other team we have far more experience and achievers. Off the field is where you practice co ordination and build game plans A B & C and that would reflect on the playing field. We see to ourselves week in and out what Milan have done for their homework……
February 5th, 2012 on 9:49 pm
Wow. If you’re so good then go apply for the coach job yourself. Allegri doesn’t know how to make decisions? And you do?
February 6th, 2012 on 8:41 am
You need to bow your behind to Berlusconi & Galliani first and then recommend me ,Are you up for it ,i mean down for it
February 5th, 2012 on 9:54 pm
Ibrahmovic is not a true center forward, but rather seems better as a second striker.robinho will start scoring soon but i appreciate his effort.we need our wing-backs to over-lap and our midfielders especially mvb to move forward freely to serve as added options in attack.we need elsharawy alongside robinho and ibra and not nocerino even if he can score he cannot create like elsharawy.seedorf does not contribute anything to the team.allegri has to be attack-minded.
February 5th, 2012 on 9:54 pm
Ibra was the only attacking threat we had because of his physical abilities. It was so obvious that had Ibra gotten the right support, we would have scored and Maxi would have been brought in at 65th mins for his physical ability, experience and more importantly better finisher than Robinho. Whoever supports Allegri on this one is just covering up an open wound because he cant expect Maxi to do a magic at 85th min, what tactician? Please lets not debate this because its irritating. ALLEGRI GOT IT 120% WRONG
February 5th, 2012 on 10:10 pm
Well Maxi will be playing with either Inzaghi or Robinho now up front… Ibra lost his mind. He was probably going to be subbed off for Maxi, but he got sent off. How did Allegri get it wrong? The team went down to 10 men. You don’t sub in a striker.
February 5th, 2012 on 9:55 pm
abate is a shadow of himself. last season he pooped on every one that attempted to attack on his end.
now its his flank thats been attacked consistently
even antonini is looking solid compared to him.
come on naziooo
February 6th, 2012 on 4:07 am
Come now, a player cant always be on form! It happens to everyone! What you do here is get behind the player.
February 5th, 2012 on 10:06 pm
Why should he pass to Robinho? Is Robinho going to convert it if Ibra pass to him. Allegri makes selection with sentiment else pippo is suppose to play ahead of goal shy Robinho.
February 5th, 2012 on 10:13 pm
Wether Robinho is bether than Pato, we will get to know in Ibra’s absence. I pity some of us that all they value is Robinho running helter sceter. He is a total short 1.
February 6th, 2012 on 4:15 am
Pato and Robinho are both out of form! Both, when in form, are deadly. The fans love them then.
February 5th, 2012 on 10:43 pm
Nonsense, pure nonsense …
February 5th, 2012 on 10:44 pm
Without a doubt we have had one of our unluckiest seasons ever with all our injuries and with the players we have left that are fit we surely have to start looking at good investment.
We need a new goalkeeper – Abbiati is a decent goalkeeper but we don’t have anyone of quality to replace him when he is injured.
Defence – As always, we have a relatively old defence but that has always been the case with Milan, the only difference now is that we are lacking in quality that we had in years gone by. Abate is improving each season and is sure to be our RB for many years to come, Thiago Silva is the future leader of Milan – and the rest of the defence?????? Nesta is has good games when he is fit which isn’t very often, Mexes is never fully fit and is nowhere near as good as he was at Roma, Antonini reminds me of Francesco Coco when he played for us and look what happened to him! Yepes hasn’t got real quality, Zambrotta is no more than a substitute when we need him.
Midfield – This is where we have struggled. Boateng, Urby, Merkel, Nocerino, Valoti, Aquilani are where I see Milan’s midfield progressing in the next few seasons. Van Bommel is playing well short term, Mesbah is a work in progress, Flamini, Gattuso, Seedorf are all past their best at Milan. A combination of injuries and age means we won’t get continuity from them any more and Ambrosini is a player I have never really seen as Milan quality. How he has lasted his career at Milan is beyond me.
Attack – We have one of the strongest attacks in world football but we can’t find a good combination that suits are playing style. Cassano I hope gets back to his best in the near future, SES is another big prospect for us in years to come, Ibrahimovic needs to be our focal point of attack, we don’t need him tracking back to midfield. Inzaghi is in his last season with us and we need another Pippo who can get us goals when we need them. Personally I would have sold Pato to PSG and collected the money for him which would have been great business for someone who is always injured. Binho has never really found form at Milan – he needs to score more, which is why I think we need to cash in on him too. Maxi Lopez is a strange buy, he never really lived up to expectations at Barcelona which is why he went to a smaller club and then onto Milan. If you buy someone when the club is short on fit players then you have to buy someone who is on the same level or better than the players you currently have and I don’t think Maxi is any better than any of our forwards.
A major re-shuffle is needed sooner rather than later and it has to be a mix of our youth with players that will give 110% when they are bought and wear the AC Milan shirt. There is so much talent in Italy that Milan could buy if they were to sell a few big name players, we have sold big name players throughout our history and we always survive. Silvio Burlesconi needs to start spending some of his vast wealth now his commitment is to AC Milan.
Forza Milan.
February 6th, 2012 on 1:45 am
I agree with you…
But I think Mexes has been doing quite well for Milan and has proved a strong reliable presence after recovering from his injury.
February 9th, 2012 on 12:09 am
I do think Mexes will be good cover for the defence when he is fully fit. With our left back situation, we now have Mesbah who may or may not be the answer – for that he needs playing time and hopefully he will settle into Milan. We sorely missed out on Maxwell from Real Madrid in January who currently is one of the best left backs in the game. While someone like Gareth Bale is a left/wing back I don’t think he has the defensive capabilities to be our left back for years to come.
(as i’m writing this El Shaarawy has just equalised for us against Juve – GET IN!)
I think we have enough talent in Italy who could provide us with the defensive cover we currently need.
February 6th, 2012 on 4:14 am
Soon we will need a new keeper, I agree. Handanovic is ideal.
Our defence is certainly very decent compared to virtually any other team! Silva, Nesta and Mexes are all world class, Abate is on his way – our left back is questionable, but tell me – how many really great left backs are to be found these days! Defenders can play for longer than players further up the field (see Maldini etc)
Midfield is not perfect by any means – a trequartista is the number one necessity followed by an achor like Van Bommel. Don’t judge players on age too much – Seedorf is world class on his day and we need players with experience to guide! We don’t want to be like Arsenal! New additions would be Eriksen and maybe M’Vila?
Attack is fantastic. Its very unlucky that it is decimated by injuries and suspensions though. I see Balotelli or Tevez arriving later.
We do NOT need to spend big. A major reshuffle is unnecessary because we need a balance of experience and players who will grow.
February 9th, 2012 on 12:18 am
As a long time supporter of Milan, I am not judging players on age – we have a way of getting the best out of players in the latter stage of their careers or it used to be that way. While Seedorf is world class on his day, his day seems to be once in a blue moon now. Too many misplaced passes, too many wayward shots and not enough help for the rest of the team. We sorely miss Gattuso or Flamini who chase the ball when the opposition has possession.
With attack, the only big name I can see coming in soon is Balotelli and I personally can’t wait to see him in the Milan shirt and on the pitch.
We have enough experienced players now to help the youth that is coming through but the experienced players on showing their talent on a regular basis and the youth simply can’t cope with the players that they play against, week in week out.
I do think some money is needed to be spent on players that will be here for 5,6,7 years +. With current contract disputes, some players wouldn’t have an expensive tag with them, its only getting them to accept Milan’s wage structure compared to the mega money of the Premiership or now China, India and Russia!
February 5th, 2012 on 10:52 pm
Have been a Milan fan before allegri ever dreamt to be here, and when he’s through with his tenure I’ll still be a Milan fan.i don’t need your permission to express and vent my frustration. A very small minded coach he is… Nonsense , pure nonsense
February 5th, 2012 on 10:59 pm
Well, season is officially over. We needed Tevez. Now that Ibra is out, we only have Maxi Lopez, and he hasn’t even played one half yet. We better be changing the formation against Juve to 4-5-1. Better get that single point than lose.
February 5th, 2012 on 11:07 pm
nvm. I thought Juve was a league match. my bad.
February 5th, 2012 on 11:59 pm
milan 4 eva
February 6th, 2012 on 1:38 am
I think binho is to be put on transfer list ASAP and abate needs to improve he has been very poor off late giving room to attacs frm his wing frm messi to milito and he almost cost us today again lavezzi.
February 6th, 2012 on 4:18 am
wat a beautiful game. Milan will never win the cl with allegri. He is to defensive. I bet he will play 3 dmf agaisnt arsenal. I hope we gat trashed
February 6th, 2012 on 8:58 am
Well this was a poor game from our standards and there is no other way to describe this performance. Even though I hate mourinho his one sentence just nailed football these days. “A win in football has many fathers but a loss only has one”. Which definitely as you all think is Allegri, the problem is we have key injuries. Imagine if we had played a team today where flamini would have been in a DM role with aquilani and nocerino on flanks, KPB Cassano and Ibra upfront with Pato, Robinho, MVB, Emanuelson, Mexes on the bench? For once imagine Barcelona without Messi, Iniesta, Xavi, Puyol and Pique. Just 5 players and they don’t have even a mediocre team. Man utd had just 5 injuries at once and they are knocked out of the CL. We have to be patient and back our team in these moments!
February 6th, 2012 on 10:07 am
milan started out pretty good but its like the game didnt even matter. i know its a little cruel but robinho shouldve been off at halftime. ibra was beyond frustrated at most of the team and i dont blame him at all. after he was sent off it was impossible to score. however, i thought it was kinda funny how he slapped aronica. and then aronica slaps nocerino not even knowing it was ibrahimovic. lol. and then de sanctis.
February 6th, 2012 on 3:20 pm
Robinho call to Sheva and tell him to teach you how to score!!
