TAYE TAIWO has had his medical today.

AC Milan new left-back Taiwo has landed in Italy and had his medical check-ups after it has been confirmed in the past weeks that he’s all set to join Milan on a free-transfer.

Despite being offered a contract extension with Olympique de Marseille, Taiwo (26) decided that it’s time for another adventure and he will join the squad of Massimiliano Allegri as soon as the market opens.

“I have decided to sign for Milan because they are an excellent team who play great football,” Taiwo said. “In my opinion, they are at the same level as clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea.

“I am not saying that the other teams that were after my signature are not good teams, though. It is just that ever since making my international debut for Nigeria, I have dreamt of playing for an absolute top club. Milan have superb players like [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic, [Clarence] Seedorf and [Alexandre] Pato.”

Taiwo is said to have signed a three-year deal with Milan.
