MINO RAIOLA could be working to bring Cesc Fabregas or Michael Essien to Milan, reports suggest.
Super agent Mino Raiola revealed yesterday that he’s working on Milan’s next big signing since January, and according to the Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, it could be a player who plays for England.
Raiola was spotted in London this week and the speculations in the Italian media are that his goal is to bring Arsenal’s Cesc Fabregas or Chelsea’s Michael Essien this summer to Milan.
Flamini-Sandro exchange?
Milan set for contracts talks
It was reported a few weeks ago that Coach Massimiliano Allegri wants Essien in his squad while Vice President Adriano Galliani is said to be dreaming on signing the Spanish national team player.
“Raiola said he’s working on a signing for us? Maybe,” Galliani told Italian reporters today [Monday], laughing. “He hasn’t told me anything, but let’s hope it’s true.”
Both Cesc and Essien are world class but would be very expensive and are known for being injury-prone. While Tuttosport is not the most reliable source, it’s okay to dream.

Huh! What a joke! Well done Tuttosport for making me laugh. We dont need Fabregas or Essien. Besides Fabregas is almost going to Barcelona. We already have players who are performing better than him.
May 16th, 2011 on 5:13 pm
How could you say we don’t need Cesc or Essien. Both are world class, where Cesc could play as a Pirlo and Essien as a more Ambro/Gattuso. Either way, both would be longshot, dream transfers. Highly unlikely for sure.
May 16th, 2011 on 5:16 pm
FABREGAS IS A MUST!!!! HE’S PIRLO ALTERNATIVE! NOW, WE DON’T HAVE ANY PLAYER BETTER THAN HIM IN MIDFIELD!!!
May 16th, 2011 on 5:18 pm
Bastian Schweinsteiger :X
May 16th, 2011 on 5:36 pm
GIOVINCO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
May 16th, 2011 on 5:38 pm
I love every respon to the press that Galliani’s been saying. his mind game is much better than Mourinho.
May 16th, 2011 on 6:26 pm
and less controversial and less offesive too
May 16th, 2011 on 6:55 pm
but more effective
May 17th, 2011 on 2:09 am
can somebody name a list of his major clients so we can see who’s most likely?
May 16th, 2011 on 6:16 pm
haha…imo, the real target is sandro. i do like essien in milan’s squad but he is almost 30 y.o. and his price is very expensive. sandro is more promising for milan in the future.
fabregas? no thanks. he is too expensive. besides, fabs will choose barca instead of milan. imo, nasri is more suitable for milan. for AM, milan need to sign either nasri, modric or hazard. somehow, i hope that hazard is the player who will join milan this summer. he is the french phenomenon that galliani is looking for. unfortunately, many big clubs like barca, MU, arsenal, bayern, inter and even besiktas have been linked with hazard.
May 16th, 2011 on 6:22 pm
Laughing gas… How bout no, H e plays the role of an attacking mid, we already have a goood player for that and besides when it comes to signing a player for that role I would rather take Lamela or Ganso, Both much younger and besides it has been proven that spanish players can’t play in the Serie A…
Essien, maybe but he almost old, we need younger players, not people near 30, Ibra almost 30, Cassano almost 30 and the rest are all over 30 and then after that from flamini onwards they all 28 or younger.
May 16th, 2011 on 6:36 pm
So we’re after a player, who will leave for Barca.
And a player who’s injury prone/30 years old.
LOL.
What about Ganso?
May 16th, 2011 on 6:47 pm
If this were ever true, I’d want it to be Cesc. He’s said in the past that his favourite team in Italy is AC Milan and the concept of him playing would solve so many issues. But the fact is it’s an impossible transfer as his family would disown him for not joining AC Milan and I find it hard to believe full stop, let alone being able to pay hi £40 million fee
May 16th, 2011 on 6:51 pm
This makes me laugh, to those who say we need essien and cesc, have you seen these guys wages? To pay pirlo a vetran 4m is very hard not to talk of all these spoilt guys in premier legue. Have u ask yourself why is it very hard 2 buy players from premier legue?
May 16th, 2011 on 6:52 pm
I see Tuttosport, and I know automatically it’s wrong lol. That site never gets anything right…
May 17th, 2011 on 1:01 am
Well,if he is in London, it could be true… Although I’d prefer Sandro over Essien… And what about Nasri, Modric and Van der Vaart? We were linked to them before, right? If we’re not getting Ganso, Lamela or Kaka, we’ll probably sign one of these three.
May 17th, 2011 on 4:30 pm
hamsik & pastori?
May 17th, 2011 on 1:26 am
Well Sportmediaset says Berlusconi has picked Pastore… so that is the player Raiola could be talking about. Raiola ruled out Robben and Cristiano Ronaldo. He also said that Lamela and Ganso were not likely… so I’m starting to think it’ll be Pastore.
May 17th, 2011 on 1:59 am
he ruled out essian as well today, and i read on milannews.it that the player will come from italy, and itll be a midfielder, which leads me to think either hamsik or pastore, but as napoli wont let hamsik go, all signs are pointing to pastore
May 17th, 2011 on 7:02 am
I hope you are right… only 4 players who are Milan worth for the midfield are Cesc, Hamsik, Nasri and Pastore (for attack I mean)
Sandro for Flamini could be a dream also =P
May 17th, 2011 on 1:36 am
Pastore? I also heard that but that aint gonna happen. He is well overpriced, besides Palermo’s President Zamperini have sworn that he will never ever sell his players to Milan! Thats what happened when we were after Cavani and Kjaer. That stupid moron rejected our offers and sold them to other clubs. So its highly unlikely that Pastore will join Milan.
May 17th, 2011 on 2:05 am
Don’t jump on the messenger. I’m just telling its pretty much down to Pastore and Hamsik right now.
May 17th, 2011 on 1:38 am
Ganso will join Milan in January. It is possible that we will buy Lamela in the summer.
May 17th, 2011 on 4:35 pm
i agree. i feel ganso will come no matter what. Allegri may try to use him to replace pirlo, i know he plays higher up as an AM but so did pirlo until we converted him into a deep-lying playmaker, why not with ganso?
May 17th, 2011 on 1:42 am
No to both. If we really are building for a future why are we talking about a 30 years old who keeps getting injuried?
On fabregas, a very smart player. But even he lacks many things. Speed, fast-minded play, but most of all he lack that “war to the end” thing.
He been good for arsenal, but no major captain.
And if we are getting some one from gunners, it should be nasri. This guy moves around like robinho, but he finishes a bit better. He would be awesome at Milan
May 17th, 2011 on 2:04 am
“If we really are building for a future why are we talking about a 30 years old who keeps getting injuried?”
This is coming from the guy who wants Kaka back.
And Nasri? Meh. He’s one dimensional. Fabregas is the better midfielder there anyways. When Arsenal don’t have Fabregas they don’t perform well at all…
May 17th, 2011 on 2:37 am
dude kaka is a milan legend. And i said, if kaka wants to come back to his home, he should be allowed. who the F are you to tell any milan legend to stay out while hes still playing football?
Kaka is 29 for your information, and still put in decent perforamances. Dont beleive me?
Oezil which are reals new BIG attacking midfielder, and who are young, talanted, fast. What? 6 goals?
Kaka is lazy, is old, is finshed JUST like you said about dinho, have scored 15 so far.
Giancarlo i know your game by now, your are totaly against brazlians. you are even against pato, but you dont say it officially. You know that you would be even more hated here. And If theres was a young italian striker in milan and scored half goals of patos. You would SHIT on pato. I know you.
you cant say a shit about t.silva. But i beleive deep inside you, you would prefer astori instead of silva. If only astori was a bit better you would SHIT on silva too. You are predictable like nicklas bendtlers shot at goal. Thats why you are a big failure.
Ask any arsenal fans, they who watch every game of arsenal. Whos been better fabregas or nasri. you will get the answer. but like i said i know your game, you would even argue with gunners fans and say fabregas is better. Why? Because giancarlo you know everything. your a doctor. A doctor who spends time on a forum on his freetime.
May 17th, 2011 on 3:20 am
conspiracy theories about giancarlo by shervin, newest reality show on tv, next up on the show he professes his love for kaka and sings him “Tell me how am i supposed to live without you” by Michael Bolton, now for a word from our sponsors, hallmark man crush cards for that special man crush in your life
May 17th, 2011 on 4:17 am
Uh you can’t be serious. If you are, you are out of your mind. Kaka is not a Milan legend. You want a Milan legend? Baresi, Costacurta and Maldini. Those are Milan legends.
I never said Kaka is lazy… he’s not, but his legs aren’t what they used to be. If we can get a player like Hamsik, Ganso or Pastore I would be all for it.
If I’m totally against Brazilians, why am I Ganso’s biggest cheerleader? Open your eyes.
No, I love Thiago silva. He’s the best centerback in the Serie A.
And Pato? He needs time. He has great potential, but right now he’s not world class. However, he can very well be one of the top of his games.
Think before you open your mouth, please. You’ve just made a ton of assumptions about what I think. You’re the biggest failure on here. Some of my favorite players have been Brazilian in the past. Cafu was one of my all time favorite right backs. I still remember that smile of his. Of course you don’t even know who Cafu is.
I want players like Marek Hamsik, Ganso (He’s Brazilian) or maybe Pastore (if Zamparini can be dealt with).
And ANY Arsenal fan will tell you Fabregas is the best player in Arsenal. Without Fabregas, Nasri does very little. Fabregas this season had 9 goals, and 17 assists. Nasri this season has had 15 goals and 4 assists. Many of those Nasri goals … assisted by … guess who… Fabregas.
Kaka isn’t Milan. Milan comes first.
May 17th, 2011 on 4:49 am
Im very serious.
Those you are mentioning (Baresi, Costacurta and Maldini)
They are part of milans heart. Nobody can say otherwise, even those who HATE milan say Maldini is king. Same goes for costacurta and baresi.
By saying Kaka isnt legend means also that Sheva aint milan legend. Sheva spent 7 years in milan, kaka 6 years.
Your favorite ibra, where have he spend 6 years?
Where have c.ronaldo spent 6 years?
Where have deco spent 6 years? even GREAT zidane spent 5 years at most.
So how can you say kaka isnt part of milan and one of their true legends? Are you crazy?
Kaka&Sheva will for EVER be milan legends. But of course they cant be compared to Maldini.
Fabregas is surrounded by FAST players. Thats why hes so successfull. We on the other hand, are fast but not like arsenal. The lack experience though, but they are fast in every way.
Fabregas in milan would be good. But Nasri is a better option. He reads the game better, he passes better also his goal compared to fabregas is from both short and long distances. Fabregas have many goals on penalties.
Nasri NEVER stands still, he never stops fighting. And hes alot more injury-free than fabregas.
I think nasri would fit allegris system. Fabregas would be amazing in ancelottis system. We are a more moving team now, more passes in the attacks. And thats where nasri always do good.
May 17th, 2011 on 5:51 am
I’ll explain my reasoning for you again. I’ve remembered players like Massaro, Rui Costa, Kaka… as great players for Milan. But there are only a few legends.
My favorite Ibra? I like Ibra… he’s an immensely skilled footballer. But never did I claim he is a Milan legend. I also like Boateng… but he’s not a Milan legend either.
There are only a few legends. Maybe we have different definitions. For Manchester United, their legends can include Neville and Giggs.
Fabregas is not a fast player, but he’s an immensely skilled player. We need to get more fast players…
Nasri is not a great player. Not by a stretch. And Fabregas is still better at making assists. We lack creativity in midfield. Fabregas would solve that.
But lets be honest… Fabregas isn’t coming to Milan and I’m being realistic here.
And I would take Marek Hamsik over Nasri any day.
May 17th, 2011 on 1:51 am
fabregas is one of the few players in the world who could replace pirlo because they have similar playing styles.
May 17th, 2011 on 2:10 am
another thing, why should this deal take from january until august 30, i want to know soon!
May 17th, 2011 on 2:14 am
its either hamsik or pastore
May 17th, 2011 on 2:16 am
looks like my comment got delted or something. if raiola is involved, the player must be one of his right?why would he work with other people’s players.anyone know some major clients of his other then ibra and balotelli?
May 17th, 2011 on 3:36 am
I really hope it`s Hamsik and not Pastore, and Fabregas is to Injury prone.
May 17th, 2011 on 4:04 am
As an Arsenal fan I will tell you Cesc is 10 times the player Nasri is or ever will be. Any Arsenal fan given the choice this summer would keep Cesc over Samir every day of the week. No question who the better player is.
May 17th, 2011 on 4:20 am
In the 300+ appearances for Arsenal, Fabregas has had around 100 assists, and 55+ goals. (ESPN Profile on player)
He’s a real assist man.. a real master of the game. Anybody who says that Nasri is better, doesn’t know what they are talking about.
May 17th, 2011 on 8:18 am
Cesc is lazy atleast that’s what my gooner best best friend told me… And nasri dissapears in some games.. I would take neither.. We should totally try and go for hamsik or lamela! And I’m a huge brazilian fan.. But I don’t think we should get ganso.. Yet, the only brazilian I want milan to get this summer is either hulk, lucas marcelinho and gum.
May 17th, 2011 on 8:20 am
You know one thing I’ve learnt after all these years as a diavolo, is that galliani has made dream transfers come true. Never say never, you could say its ridiculous that galliani would want cesc but never think its ridiculous to think that he can bring him in. Fabregas said he wants trophies…what better place
May 17th, 2011 on 8:55 am
Poli – I prefer dis guy to Fab or my country man-Essien, now dat Sampdoria has been relegated he’ll be eager to join de champs.
May 17th, 2011 on 9:57 am
He went for Nasri not Fabregas…that guy once he looses motivation he doesnt play half as good…..like in Arsenal currently….Better to get Nasri…Or Ganso or If not then Pastore?
May 17th, 2011 on 9:58 am
and Fabregas also cost Arsenal’s loss against Barcelona…
May 17th, 2011 on 10:56 am
Poli
May 17th, 2011 on 1:47 pm

May 17th, 2011 on 5:19 pm
please please please….poli is nowhere near the class of players we are mentioning..if pirlo does not fit in allegris plans then i doubt poli will..i admire him though
May 17th, 2011 on 6:46 pm
poli good young 21 Hmm I want Daniele Desena Too Though He good But i realy dunno He is Milan type Even Poli
