ARRIGO SACCHI believes the Milano and the capital outfits still have the chance to catch Inter and win the Serie A this year as now it’s wide open and the gap between first and third is slight.

Milan missed a great chance to takeover Inter in the standing on Sunday afternoon, when were held by a strong Napoli. The results of week 29 in Serie A put Roma back on the title race, as their gap from Inter is four points.

The Rossoneri are only point away from achieving first place for the first time since November 2008, but it won’t be easy as series of tough matches awaiting them. Former Milan Coach Sacchi thinks everything is still open.

Mourinho: Milan Can’t Catch Us
Mancini: Anything Can Still Happen

“Everyone asks if Milan and Roma can win the championship,” Sacchi wrote in La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“It’s possible, even if everyone knows that Inter’s quality is superior. The Nerazzurri can raise the bar where the others can’t arrive.

“But the Rossoneri, helped by the experience of a great club, the ability of [Coach] Leonardo and [assistant Coach Mauro] Tassotti, and the players, could achieve something that seemed unthinkable in October.

“The draw with Napoli should not demoralise the side that is going beyond every logical prediction.

“Even Roma could insert itself (in the title race) if they find the concentration and motivation that allows them to increase the technical and tactical qualities of the squad.

“The championship, thanks to the Champions League, is open to any solution. I hope that it all serves to make the fans return to the stadiums and to forget our difficulties,” he concluded.
