“The Champions League is not real without Milan” is what they say in via Turati and the Rossoneri nearly missed out on next year’s edition of the Champions League. Milan finished third thanks to a late comeback on the last day of the season.

Report: Milan will not replace Pazzini

GIAMPAOLO PAZZINI’S absence will not change Milan’s transfers plans as they will not look to replace him.

Pazzini will miss the next four to six months after undergoing a knee surgery this week and the Rossoneri will need to qualify to the Champions League group stage (through the preliminaries) without the striker who scored 15 Serie A goals.

There are now reports that Milan could look to sign another striker to replace Pazzini, who had a very good season, and the name of Matri was even mentioned as a possible candidate to cover for Pazzini who’ll miss the beginning of next season. (continue reading…)

It’s reported that Galliani is trying to convince Berlusconi to keep Allegri, who he has always supported. Barbara Berlusconi suggested Galliani and her father see eye to eye and the Milan Vice President has also moved to deny reports of a rift. (continue reading…)

Pazzini out for 4-6 months after knee surgery

GIAMPAOLO PAZZINI went under the knife in Belgium on Thursday and will miss the next four to six months.

The season has just ended but Milan already have the first injured player for next year as the 28-year-old Italian forward Giampaolo Pazzini will miss the next 4-6 months after undergoing a knee surgery today (Thursday) in Namur, Belgium.

Pazzini was one of the best players this season for the Rossoneri, scoring 15 Serie A goals for Max Allegri’s side, but was not included in Italy’s Confederation Cup squad, perhaps because of the knee surgery that was scheduled a while ago. (continue reading…)
